Had a $88 curbside pickup this afternoon where I’m at, 3 drops, 10.5 miles. Total quantity between all 3 customers was 225 items which completely filled my car but absolutely worth it!
In a classic 'Philly Thing' this morning, I delivered 150 soft pretzels to a mom taking them into her son's class for their class party today. She was thrilled that I made it there before she had to leave to drop her son off to school. Talk about something which will steam your car windows up. 150 warm soft pretzels will do it. That was a $16 DoorDash. In case you don't know, Philly residents eat 10 times the national average for soft pretzels in the US.
Hi it finally picked up today. My first order over $40 drop off less than 10 miles. I quit after 12pm to go for a walk in the snow in the woods. It was snowing this afternoon. Finally snow before Christmas in in Rhode Island. Some terrible drivers today.
In my area, DD and Spark and Uber were all frantic today. Spark was begging me to come shop, but I wasn't heading in there the week before Christmas to shop for canned cat food.
I get offers like 4$ to 8$ like 15-40 groceries to pick up some of the items the store does not have or alternatives, Uber says that goes AGAINST US as drivers, it’s not our fault store did not have goods or replacement 😮, IM done with grocery store shopping, now if it’s worth my while the smaller pharmacy shops (CVS Walgreens ) orders and liquor pick ups but I’m desperate for those orders to be 10$ and up which is getting rarer, this pay is ridiculous. And the bonus garbage 2$ for 2 trips, and so on other amounts just give us a bonus of like 25$ or more At the end of each shift 😢
I wonder if it’s different in different states for spark rules. In California, a yt Driver got a notification to bring it back because she didn’t deliver in time and there were perishables. And it wasn’t close to 90 minutes.
Image having to go into the store to get the ps5 just for the sales associate to walk you all the way to the to self check out just to scan the code then to be selected for the cart check for one item. Then they gotta scan the item and the serial number just so you can leave the store to deliver it. It happened to me a few days ago.
Hey chuck wondering if you have had to scan in your id and do face scan and agree to some terms w spark? I saw so many ppl post about getting deactivated after verification. I was so worried lol. But did mine no issues!
See Chuck if u just wait a little bit u could have gotten that 50.00 plus spark order. U have to wait sometimes. Don't accept things so quick and train the algorithm
Chuck, I doubt there is anything that say's you can't pop into a restaurant to use the facilities while deliverying your spark order, or Heather was having a vehicle issue on such and such street and you made a quick diversion to help her out, then continued your deliveries. As long as you make the deliveries on time, I doubt anything will be said. These companies know the vast majority of drivers are multi-apping, as long as the deliveries are being made they won't care. So I wouldn't stress for the few times you've cut it close.
Too much wear and tear on the vehicle for the money. Car repairs are ridiculous. I'm a 64 just shy of 65 stone mason and bricklayer. 600.00 a day. I won't be able to finish all the work people want me to do. I'll die first.
Here’s a question for all you dashers…. What would you have done? Skip to the end for a quick summary. I had a $100+ pizza order surprisingly it was ready when I got there. Once I got to the drop off which was a kids event center thing not surprising since it was a big pizza order but I text the customer no response. I called the customer straight to voicemail. I go inside and talk to an employee. He has no idea about this order. I then go back to my car and I’m calling DoorDash to find out what I need to do while talking to DoorDash, the customer text me tells me I’m not where I’m supposed to be. then send me an address. While I’m trying to text him back, he calls me and immediately starts chewing me out for not being there. I’m trying to explain to him that I’m DoorDash and I’m just going to the delivery address that I have then he starts to curse at me and tells me I better get my ass in gear and get his order to him But at this point, I’m a little apprehensive to go to this person‘s house. I tell him I don’t need the attitude. I don’t work for Papa John’s. He tells me I have an attitude Papa John’s needs to get their shit together and that I better get that order to his house so at this point, I tell him there’s no way I’m delivering this food he tells me to eat a dick and hangs up on me.. later he text me and told me he’s gonna report me to DoorDash LOL. the ironic part is if he would’ve just told me the address and said hey sorry that there was some kind of misunderstanding. I would’ve taken him his food which I’ve done many times in the past because I know it’s just part of this job. Papa John’s gets the address wrong Customer yells and causes me out Threatens to report me to DoorDash.

Stacked orders are so stressful, I’m more one at a time, But I like the 30 dollar or more ones alot.

Scanned ID once. Selfie almost every day.
Usual Suspects! Awesome movie...wouldn't it be awesome this time of year if ya could shop that fast😂❤
15:16 dirty stack ‘em I love it!!
As long as you don't swipe to start heading to each drop off and just plug in the address yourself, you won't get those notifications from Spark
Imagine getting a $115 curbside order. Couldn’t hit accept fast enough. Lol
Agree Leslie! 😄
Man what if the 24 dollar trip you missed had a 1000 dollar tip, Lol, Dude I feel you, I got off uber completely, And Lift is been great.

Great job today chuck...
You want ice and snow.instead of sun.
A white Christmas is awesome!
@Dashing Across America does Miron have a youtube channel?
When you see the miles for orders he takes and his hatred for waiting you know he cares more about youtube income and making a video.
Lmao
I'm number 1... 😂. Have a great day chuck
