We recently completed our visit of all of the major Hawaiian islands. We left Kauai for last since we didn’t really knew much about it and originally only planned on going to cross it of our list but boy where we wrong! Kauai is easily our favorite island. It’s the most old school rural island with just the right amount of big hotels, modern development and charming little towns. Amazing beaches, plant life, hikes and the Kaanapali Coast is incredible! We just got back but are already planning our next visit! 🤙🏽
That is wonderful to hear! Visiting all four islands is a big trip but you get the luxury of seeing which one you will return to on your next trip! Enjoy the trip planning for Hawaii. Thanks for watching.
Have seen just about all your vids and can’t believe how big your kids are getting! They are darling. Bought 2 itineraries-Maui and Kauai. Can’t wait for 6 months to pass😊 thanks again.
Great timing on this video. I was trying to decide what island I wanted to go to on my next trip in a few months. This one made me decide to make it Kauai.
My boyfriend and I are going to be spending just over one week in Oahu and almost 3 weeks in Kauai later this year! Taking allllll the notes from your videos! Thanks for all your work!!

The Mahaulepu Heritage Trail hike is one of my favorite hikes on Kauai. We hiked past the cave reserve and stumbled upon a wonderful tortoise sanctuary. We were able to meet some of them. A restroom was also available there.
We are going next week and can't wait! We go every year and we stay at the Sheridan in poi pu. And that shopping center at Kukui'ula is so great! Although we hear one of our favorite restaurants is gone (The Dolphin)!? Anyway, great video. Good to see a young family building memories together!
Mahalo! At 5:57 is that sleeping giant? Or King Kong mountain? Have you hiked it? Also when did Sam’s ocean view close? I loved that place! We were in Kauai for our 5th time last month and it’s our favorite place on earth! We highly recommend new koloa Thai homemade pad Thai, so spicy and delicious!
That is King Kong Mountain! You can get a good view of Sleeping Giant when on the Wailua River. I don't remember when Sam's closed, I think late last year. Thanks for the tip on Koloa Thai! Enjoy your sixth trip, when it happens.
We went to KAUAI just a month ago (supposedly DRY SEASON) for 9 days, unfortunately 7.5 days were heavy rain and dark skies... Actually I did more research than you guys, and having worked on at least four major movies on the island going back to KING KONG in 1976, staying at the old Coco Palms, thats where all the iconic movie crews stayed... we stayed last month at the wonderful Koloa Landing Resort. You two certainly have a dream job, and Kauai is without doubt the most beautiful, spiritual and natural part of Hawaii, but like anywhere else visiting a place and wanting to live there, well you know what I mean... Your videos are well presented with good production value, what you can easily shoot with a GoPro and a drone, us old timers had to hang out of an expensive Bell Jet Ranger helicopter, and use a just as expensive Panavision camera and Tyler mount, and we still wouldn't get the spectacular and steady shots you get! Of all the videos you do obviously you have to be upbeat about such things as the weather, but your audience should be aware of, is that KAUAI is probably the most unreliable, unpredictable place to visit no matter what time of year, and from a photographic perspective the light changes so much so fast, it makes both shooting a HOLLYWOOD movie and a home movie so frustrating and expensive. One thing I learned years ago, the native Hawaiians don't bother risking their lives on those suicidal mountain trails just to go for a hike, but some of them have to when it comes to the rescues! I guess though, HOLLYWOOD and social media are to blame for showing all those bits of paradise here and everywhere else, blazing the over-tourism trail

ohh, that is a good one! Four Seasons is a good bet but Kauai is the only island without a Four Seasons. We can't think of any with kid clubs. The Grand Hyatt and Koloa Landing is the most kid friendly for activities and things to do.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I did look into 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay but they only do ages 6 and up. But at least that is an option for some! I have a 4 year old and 6 year old, though.
I have a question about the river trip to the Fern Grotto. My grandparents took me there when I was 14 and I have been talking about it all my life to my mom. I am now 55 years old and taking my mom to Kauai in September of this year. The reviews on the fern grotto say that it is not worth it and kind of cheesy. Would you agree and is it worth spending our time when we are only there for 2 1/2 days?
We enjoyed it as our expectations were low. It is an old school tour. I liked the hula show on the boat and at the grotto. It is a pretty spot. But, as your short on time it can be missed.

Kaui is my favorite island ❤

They are growing up fast and they love our trips to Hawaii. Thanks for grabbing two itineraries! Enjoy our newsletters until the trip!
I love Kauai. Thank you for refreshing my memories of that area. 💚

I had an amazing time when I was on Kauai. I need to add another trip again!
That is great to hear! Time to book that second trip. We have another Kaua'i video coming out next week.
Dig your vibe, Kauai next year😎
We went to Kauai for the first time in 2023, and we loved it so much, we’re going back in 2025. Your guide was super helpful!
Glad to hear our guide worked well for your trip!!! Enjoy all our videos and newsletters until 2025!

I'm loving the vibe of this video including the "awkward" and cheesy moments 😂 Thanks for sharing your recommendations in beautiful Kauai 🌺✨
We had a lot of fun making this video. We like vlog videos. The grandparents had the kids at the pool so we had a lovely day-date around Kapa'a.
We really liked Lydgate Chocolate farm tasting. Learned a lot about how chocolate is made
Thanks for sharing the tip! We haven't been there yet.

Love your videos. How far in advance do you suggest booking the Wailua river kayak tour?
During the summer, book at least 2 weeks in advance to get the time and tour you want to do.

If you ever come back to Kaua'i, let me know. I'm a teacher here and an amateur videographer. Mahalo,
Thanks for the offer!
Who collects the donations? And is there anyone around the cave area in case if emergencies?
Hi! Any recommendations for resorts with kids camps in Kauai? Thanks for any info!
