If Hax$ never had the complications with his hands, I have no doubt he would be one of the gods. He was already just behind the gods when he had to quit, and he was still improving at a very quick pace. Hopefully he fixes his hands one day in the future and claims the melee throne.
Just to add on to this he was neck and neck with leffen, and look where leffen is
I feel like hax's skill ceiling is too high for what's good for your hands on a gc controller. As far back as you can go, his dash dancing has been abnormally fast. Average dash dance speed is maybe 4-5 turns per second, and hax was pushing 10 and above regularly. The amount of physical stress it must take to play like that, on top of all the fox tech (double shine waveshine, etc) on a gamecube controller just isn't doable. I think with digital inputs definitely, but hax was sitting on the fringe of what should and shouldn't be done on a gc controller for a long time

+FiurerVenezolano He had to get surgery for a hand injury which prevented him from playing for months. He made a very brief return earlier this year but didn't look as sharp as he did in 2014, and then announced he was taking another break due to insomnia. It's too bad too, because just before he ran into all these health issues, his Fox looked it was ready to go all the way (very nearly defeated M2K at a national).

+Collin Quinn wrong. he's had chronic insomnia, he said the hand issues were real but were mostly an excuse/exaggerated. He hasn't been able to sleep for months now, that's why he's been playing league but not melee... he thinks competition made him sleepless.

Although I believe Hax's Fox is amazing and shows results, I still feel like he should at least give Falcon another chance if he were to lose a game or two. Just give the people some Falcon love. His Falcon was not just amazing and hype, but a work of art. He even looked...happy while playing Falcon, with Fox I never see him crack a smile...from what I've seen at least. But I'm not one to judge or tell people who to main or not to main. Play who you want to play, just as long as you have fun with a character you (hopefully) love to play as.
He always complained about falcon lol. He felt like he was more of a fox player because of his "20xx" mentality. And he showed it lol

I have very little doubt that there is still much hate in Hax's heart towards Falcon. It's probably quite cathartic for him to prove to the Melee community, first hand, that _all_ of his former complaints about maining Falcon and Falcon's shortcomings were right.

He only destroys Falcons because he knows how to destroy them so well, being a former Falcon main.

His fox is so clunky yet technical at the same time. It has like no fluidity to it, it's very stop and go, but when it goes oh good lord it presses buttons.
I just love how technical he plays I mean just look at how many inputs he does in one combo

HAX$ HE"S THE MAN OF 20XX along with GATZU and WIZZROBE, he the fox 20XX man. He's top 10 in my book. He's that good with both is characters fox and captain falcon. His falcon can make people erupt with screams and chanting his name to win his matches. FOX on the other hand is the same but instead of an amazing knee fox has a shine that can kill characters at less than 10%. Especially Marth and Falco. HAX is on his way to being another GOD of MELEE. He's just that great at what he does. I'd rather be kneed by his falcon than be destroyed by his 20XX fox any day. His falcon is his pride and joy so I guess its whatever he fells like destroying people with his pink falcon or his blue fox. In all honesty both characters are amazing but I'm putting my money on that he will only main fox next year and will be able to take matches off all the gods come next year. Hax fukin money is a person u want to look upon to becoming good at melee. No more no less.

No one has a gun pointed at my head. He's that amazing at melee with his Fox and Falcon. His Fox will be him to God statue next year. He's gonna top 6 in tournaments. Plus he's 20XX himself with all the other 20GX players too. All I'm saying is he's a beast at Melee he should be considered a God by now. But he got to defeat Gods to be God material. He can take games off of them but he can take sets off them. When he ready to surpass them. So for now he's semi God status he just hates playing sheiks and smashes.

when he is waveshining spacies it looks almost as if he is just walking... is it a waveshine down into a short walk to keep a spacie in a waveshine? i know with floaties you can just do normal waveshines and theyll be stuck in them for days but those ones hax was doing looked like he was just shining while walking... how?
He's just that fast. He does everything down to the frame he can initiate it, so he shines and jumps on frame 4, then wavedashes diagonally to max length on frame 1 in the air, then inputs the walk directly on touching the ground, then shines. Rinse and repeat.
Coach McGuirk when you do this sorta tech after awhile it becomes second nature. For me theres no such thing as a shine since just shining is pointless shine = waveshine. My hands are automatic when it comes to a lot of tech, after years you just don't think about it.

That has nothing to do with my comment. i was talking about hit knockback. when i do 5 waveshines I against a peach I hit with all of them. when I do it against a fox i hit like 2. why is it so much easier for them to DI out? and how does hax avoid that? he's just that good at making hard reads about how they might DI??
