this was top 5 most hype sets of all time in melee. if you're watching this from any time non recent, you don't understand the energy that was in the air from all platforms watching, at the event or commentating. this needed to happen to melee.
Not only did they go 2-1 in sets and play all possible 15 games, but at the end Mango hugs Armada, and even as the crowd celebrates with Mango, you see Adam smile. Obviously both players wanted to win, but in the end they were just happy to push one another’s limits and have a good set.

I'll always say that this is the greatest set of the modern era of Melee, rivaled only by Grand Finals of Apex 2015 and EVO 2016 - interestingly, Armada lost in each one, perhaps a testament to how important he is to this game's history. Each of those victories meant so much to those respective players and their own struggles and triumphs at the time. This is what I think of when I think of Melee.
