never understood lifts and just before my exam you might have just saved me from getting no marks in mechanics😭you taught me more in a couple minutes than my teacher could for a whole YEAR !! THANK YOU SO MUCH
You've explained so many things that I didn't understand before! Your students are lucky to have a teacher like you! But I'm also lucky to watch this video and learn these tricks before my exam on Tuesday. Thank you!
What a lovely comment. Thank you so much! Do watch some of my other mechanics videos in the playlists if there are any ideas you feel needing explained in more detail 👍🏼
Thank you SO much. I'm coming up to my exams and mechanics has always been tricky for me- it gets mixed up. This has helped to separate everything in an ordered way- definitely less scary now.
Thanks for this lovely comment - organising your thoughts can really help with your wider understanding and how it all fits together. I’m pleased this video helped!
Just found you and I am so grateful. I am a private adult student, so I am doing this all on my own. Been almost 10 years since I left school, so it is really helpful to be able to "listen to a class" and "a teacher"....hehe thank you so much!
Thanks so much for your great content. My son sat A level Maths, Physics and Further maths last year as an independent candidate and did great. He has gone on to do maths/computing at uni.
@@tomlynn27 There are some concepts such as limiting equilibrium and those damned ladder problems which I need to brush over. In general though you’re right this all seems fairly easy.
I have my a level tomorrow and I am so grateful for your videos! I used them for my mocks and they are an amazing review of everything, thank you so much!
Hi sir: let’s say theoretically someone needs to learn the whole of year 2 stats. And all of mechanics before Thursday, what would you recommend they do
Theoretically - and this is hard to say without knowing the student and what level of understanding they currently have - they should figure out the areas that need the most amount of work, watching some videos teaching those topics, and then immediately go straight to trying to apply it in exam questions. They should probably also focus on doing the basics/easy part of every question, getting method marks and probably unable to complete full questions, as this may not be realistic in the time constraints. So they'd need to be strategic about where they focus their time. But this is all theoretical, as I'm sure no one is in that situation right now a day before the exams, right?!?
For the pulley do you actually need to use the 2 tension components and reaction coming out of it, I've never seen/used it before and tend to get those questions right
it’s a bit niche but better safe then sorry, i’ve seen a few questions asking the normal reaction on the pulley occasionally, not sure if in an exam paper though
In comes the next wave of day before revision watchers
were all in the same boat here
i’m cooked 😭

In 4:52 isn't the y-axis supposed to be velocity instead of speed, as speed cannot be negative technically as it is only a magnitude?
True say
why do we need to memorise things in the data sheet 😂 like obviously have to know what they mean/are used for but what's the point otherwise
For tomorrow?
