It is frustrating that Mike Johnson was able to hold up aid for as long as he did
Ukraine suffered unnecessarily in its absence and will have a hard fight ahead of them regain what they have lost while Johnson turned a blind eye to their plight
As an American I say that he needs to resign in shame
He'll never been able to wash the blood from his hands

And all these countries believe that Crimea should not be Russian. It's funny!

100% agree, Starsky rocks! Perfect description of him! There _are_ some decent Russian commentators- Starsky actually gave one guy a shout-out, Sanctioned Ivan; Daniil from 1420 does street interviews in Russia, & Konstantin from Inside Russia is excellent. Vlad Vexler's a political philosopher not a war reporter, but but he was born in the USSR & has amazing insight into Russian society & history. They're exceptions though- they've all left Russia except Daniil, & they actively oppose putin.
It's most important to watch & support the Ukrainians though, & you can't beat them for humour!

Russia's economy being driven by war in Ukraine, it can't afford to either win or lose.
Even if Russia wins, the nation can't afford to rebuild and secure Ukraine, due to financial costs, as well as the impact of remaining isolated from the rest of the global market.
Estimates in February figured $1 trillion to rebuild Ukraine, rising by $10 billion every month.

If I was at ask Starsky is he is frustrated that European nations have done so little to assist them up until recently when it seems that they are realizing that they may be next to be attacked... would that help the situation? I understand the logic and reasoning behind the question but the question divides us in the West. It is a question The Kremlin would be happy to hear asked. Journalists are asking many questions like this one. It does absolutely no good to shame Americans for the aid package to take so long to go through. That's how our system works. I personally wish the aid never stopped but I respect our system flawed as it may be. It is our fault that these people were elected, but they were. We all need to come together here. Americans, we need to understand that foreign countries are using the internet as a way to distribute their own propaganda. When I was first exposed to the internet in the early 90s I saw it as an amazing means for a person to have limitless access to knowledge. I thought this was great. But as the internet became more and more commercialized it gave foreign countries direct access to American citizens. People don't seem to how much they are being manipulated. I know too many people that have shifted either to the extreme right or extreme left. They say things that I never thought I would hear coming from them. We need to stop acting so foolish. We need to support out allies and not speak bad of them.

@skozer22 I understand you don't want to discourage US support online. And the disinformation in American politics, specifically GOP politics is very concerning and has been heavily influenced online by Russia since 2016 at least. But the GOP blockade of the money for the Ukraine war needs to be addressed. It was the delay that Putin achieved through his disinformation and influence campaign. So mentioning the delay is just asking US citizens to vote and protest and not allow these corrupted people to stay in power. It shocks me how close to half the country continues to support these neo fascist ideas backed by a mess of conspiracies. The GOP having CPAC supporting Orban in Hungary for example. US citizens who have been independent are choosing sides right now. That funding delay had a death toll of people Starsky knew, and so manuly other Ukrainians none of us will ever hear of.

Great interview with Operator Starsky. Propaganda is the strength of Putin’s Russia, because it hides the truth, and the truth is, that the losses in manpower and equipment for the Russian military, have been truly staggering! We have all seen the golf buggies, supplied by China, in use by the the Russian military on the battlefield, and how no amount of modification, will make these vehicles suitable for a combat role. It shows Russian desperation! Despite having received military supplies from Iran and North Korea too, we only see ‘incremental gains’ on the battlefield for Russia, at the cost of huge losses. The truth is that Russia is being destroyed by this war, just take a look at the actual failing infrastructure of Russia, and the economic outlook, with 75% of GDP being pledged for war, against the increasing poverty of the Russian people. Dictator Putin’s rule will come to an inglorious end, as the Kremlin’s grip on power inside Russia becomes increasingly fragile, and opposing factions emerge. We are already seeing arrests in the top echelon of the military command. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Russian army of occupation in Ukraine, is one day hurriedly withdrawn in order to deal with problems closer to home. Ukraine will liberate all her territory from the Russian invader! Slava Ukraini!🇺🇦🔱
