Who ever complained about the f250 being too high is complete nuts!looks like I’ll be buying the 2019 model not the 2020
It's still going to be higher than the previous gen Super Duty's. It'll be okay.
They lowered that truck a lot. Looks like a 150
Glad they lowered it. Maybe now I won’t need a step ladder to get my stuff out
Honestly I like it lower. I don't need a truck that makes it unnecessarily harder to load and unload cargo.
f350 will be the same height and basically the same price.
Alex the old V8 is still going to be around. The 7.3 gasser will be marketed between the 6.2 gasser and the 6.7 diesel. The motor that the 7.3 is replacing is the 6.8 V10
Thanks for saying... I was getting ready to post the same information.
Yes you are correct. Alex needs to do his homework before posting a video.
Just purchased my 2019 F-250 SD FX4 6.7. I'm good
My understanding was the only thing the 6.4 V8 in the Ram HD trucks shared with the 6.4 V8s used in other FCA vehicles is the overall displacement- everything else about it is different, including the bore and stroke. It is a complete redesign specific to the HD trucks.
Gonna be curious of long-term durability of the 10spd gearing through over 1000lb-ft. I hope it does well, as most manufacturers say that they avoided that many gears in light-duty pick-ups due to long-term viability over something like a semi that have purposefully designed automatics.
Good job Ford. They have been on a roll the last few years with their trucks.
Wonder how much difference the 10 speed is vs the 6 speed.
Love the new taillights but I’m in love with the new power wagon
The transmission is not just a strengthened version of the 10 speed. It uses the same architecture and design philosophy, but it is a completely new transmission from the ground up. This one has not been co-developed with the HD 10 speed that General motors is using.
Dcl97 your on the money. I have noticed the lack of info about that and the co development of the 10 speed between GM and Ford. When Ford products are discussed you rarely hear about GMs involvement but anything GM puts the 10 speed into there will usually be a reminder that Ford was involved with said 10 speed.
Ford developed the truck 10 speeds and GM developed the car 10 speeds. GM went out and paid Allison to use the name. GM is making small changes in there version just like they did woth the first year of the Allison trans. Remember what a pos that was? They changed the design of the manual trans they got from Ford. Smaller clutch and bearings and no provision for a cooler. Guess which version last longer?
@@mitchelcreegan9636
The co developed 10 was engineered together between Ford and GM. Then final development was completed independently. Ford did not do more than GM. Also the Allison 10 speed was engineered with Allison that's why there name is it.
@@illyarampersad9779
The host of this video states it is an Allison in name only by licensing agreement. Just like the "Rancho" brand shocks in Ford's 4xfun package. If you look at the shock near the seam on the end of the tube it has fomoco stamped on it.
@@mitchelcreegan9636
It is a name branding but it's not unlike the 8 speed in Rams. ZF designed and produced them , then Chrysler got licensed to build them. Nevertheless GM has had very durable truck transmissions.
I caught the '67 Shelby GT500 driving thru the arena (half way thru the vid) 👍
2020 F-350 probably costs as much as the Shelby these days...
I have the 2017 Ford F250 XLT FX4. love my truck and it is not too high off the ground. I have gotten more compliments on this truck than any other vehicle I have every owned, and I have owned some nice mustangs! Keep up the good work Ford!
Oh man I will never buy a 350 again I want 2019 250 soon
I like the lighs design, window design, and the options it has
Hi Alex. Nice preview, and as others have said, the 6.2L Boss V8 will be the base engine. The new 7.3L is intriguing not only because it is the biggest displacement gas V8, but it is also Ford's return to an OHV valvetrain. Looking forward to seeing how much power and torque the 7.3L makes.
Ford is not dropping the 6.2 liter V8, the 7.3 liter V8 is being introduced to help bridge the gap between the Diesel and the 6.2 to give a customer who prefers Gas a viable alternative as far as low end torque and power goes.
That truck looks 🔥🔥🔥
Please add this in Forza Horizon 4!!
F-450 Platinum and Deberti F-250 Lariat there you go lol
Really needs a new interior overhauled with bigger screen. Aluminum body is class leading curb weight reduction. I'll wait until 2022
Already have my new one on order
Fords technology is 3 to 5 years ahead of the competition.
neal k behind you mean
Very nice looking front end....chevys 2500 on the other hand.....well...u know....they need new designers badly
Why the 2500 Sierra 2020 is nicest pick up yet?

2018 was chevys last good design in my opinion I went with a 2019 Ram Big Horn because it has improved in everything and doesn't look like a Corvette/Camaro from the front lol
Agree but the GMC looks pretty nice. Chevy needs to fire every designer and start over. Why would you remove the most iconic logo off your truck. Hey Chevy... everyone on the planet knows its a chevy with the bow tie. DUH. GMC tailgate AWESOME! I will either get a Denali HD or a Ford Kings Ranch for my next truck. Right now I own a 2018 Z71 and think its Chevy's last nice design.
2020 Sierra is definitely nice, especially the AT4 trim.
I’m a Ford guy that switched over to Dodge this year and after seeing the new Ford 2020 design I’m glad i did.
You don't like the new 10 speed transmission?
Can’t wait to get these at work.
Your local body shop can't wait till you damage the body.
Shankhadeep Shome except for the fact that we do all our maintenance ourselves. From mechanical to paint & body. NEXT!!!
@@snakerb Ok enjoy the wonderful world of aluminum panel repair
Shankhadeep Shome your tax dollars are paying for it so I’m ok with that.
LOVE MY FORD !
I agree...The Super duty looks far more attractive than that "grill fill" of the chevy!
So the LED headlights are split and now that’s the new 2020 look.
I better start saving. I want one.
I'm really liking those factory LED headlamps and taillights. The aftermarket will offer even better ones.
Too high? The only reason I bought the 2019 F250 STX is because the truck's height from the factory is amazing.
Nice looking truck. I love the design of the 2017 thru 2019 much much better.
😪😪
With that 2020 design, Chevy is out of the picture and GMC is hanging on by a thread. Really this boils down to RAM and Ford in this segment. GM just isn't getting it, at all.
James Mastroianni I think their offering is just fine. All three appear quite good.
Toyota isn't getting it. At all. They went out to lunch 12 years ago they haven't come back.
@@rxonmymind8362 didnt know toyota even targeted heavy duty markets....their tacos destroy the new rangers and zr2s even with outdated interiors
the 2020 design is almost identical to the 2019.
Gm looks way better than this Ford lol both of em do. The 2020 Sierra 2500 is nicest truck yet. Ford fan boys haha.
I want to know what them numbers on the 7.3 looks like
Each time I see a bloke driving a great big truck around town it brings a smile to my face. A large percentage of my investment is in oil companies.
Move to Las Vegas youll have a permanent smile.
Nice preview man
Ford when will you give the monitor a super size a big truck should have a huge screen
Be interesting to see how that 10 speed auto holds up to such high torque and power along with towing .
Darren it has been modified and enlarged to hold for heavier loads, so I think it will be fine
Yup if both Ford and GM collaborates on it, it should be a stout unit. Even if not since both will be selling essentially the same transmissions, repair and replacement costs should be relatively inexpensive.
They beefed it up
I own 2019 to tow a 5th wheel and the ass end is too high had to put a leveling kit on and lower rear shackles so my rig would ride level I thought ford was going to fix this in 2020?
That's what i like about my Ram with air ride leveling, always level no mater empty or loaded.
Goodlooking front end. Much better than last year. 7.3 hopefully will have good horsepower and torque. Nice review.
Can't wait to drive the 7.3 . Plus I'm not surprised the F-250 is going to be lower to the ground typically in the past F250s weren't has tall gas F350s
Furds are the biggest piles of dogshit on road

Bobby Sharpe Sr. I’m proud we don’t own fords shit
Noah Ranker unless a 1997 f350 7.3 or a 1979 ford bronco then yes
The LED running lights looked better on last year models.
Why would they disconnect them? They looked cooler running all the way from top to bottom
Hugh Jassol I agree 100%
I am now trying to decide if I want to buy the 2017-2019 style and have it be considered “the older led” when it’s only a few months old. With that being said I really hope Ford doesn’t change it up again in another 3 years.......
2019 looks way better
Same reason they extended the 15-17 headlights for the 18-19 model of the f150, just to make it look slightly more different and “better” for customers... im guilty for that, traded my 16 for an 18 and really do want to try this 7.3 out
@@Signorconstructionandroofing Why is every time they make new heavy duty trucks it couldn't get way uglier
Hugh Jassol What are you referring to? The DRL/headlamp?
I like the lower ride height , a slide in camper will ride better in the bed, especially in crosswinds, mileage will be better, and my dog will have an easier time getting in the cab. The current trucks are too high
Ugh
Badass pickup damn!
Whitch is more reliable THIS ONE OR RAN IN DIESEL VERSION?
Is it push button start yet? The 2019 isn't and the narrow key & column ignition are a sloppy fit. I see a likely problem there over the long term. Push button would eliminate this.
@Daniel Hernandez My company truck is a 2019 F350 xlt. Its still a conventional key but the key in ignition is worse than the 2012 I drove last. Now a very thin key that folds out of the fob. I don't mind the fold out but it feels weak when twisting to crank over.
Yeah it reduces strength too, not just weight.
LEDs are nice!
I wish I had one!!!😩😩😩
I wish the grille stayed the same
I wish they kept the 6.2
Great same transmission for the Ford and the GM fantastic.
Ford is AWD. GMC is not.
At this rate it won't be long before you "light duty" trucks hauling 53' semi trailers.
Yeah and as big as they are making them they will be the same size as a tractor.
Right it is getting out of control
Well you better get your CDL!
Yeah
6.2 is not gone. It’s still available as a base engine
Can't those car tow with smaller engines or hybrid engines ?
Where did you get your info from about the transmission? Ford and gm are cohorts on the 10R80 light duty transmission only I believe.
This is a strengthened version of the 10R80. Same basic design
Where did you get that info? I've found nothing to back that up.
The Sharonville plant currently produces the 6R140 transmission, the 6-speed automatic used in the current Ford Super Duty. The report states that the plant will make an investment in “extensive retooling” in order to start producing the 10R140 in August of 2019.
How long is that bed
Do you have a date set to test the truck? When is he embargo lifted?
January...
Anyone wanna guess torque on the 2020?
What a Nut! They are still making the 6.2.
😥
We’re getting all new heavy duty trucks. Ram, Sierra/Silverado, and F-series. Ram is behind the times though with only a 6 speed. 10 speed will be so much better for towing and fuel economy
8 speed, Check your facts.
@@JOHNWAYNE1920 *6 speed
The 8 speed is only for 6.4L Hemi models, which is what the majority won't be getting.
I still prefer the 6 speed, why? Because the 10 speed has way more sensor's than the 6 speed, the past is better than the future lol
I like that it is lower now. The super tall f250s looked dumb with the small wheels and tires
I am hearing ford has lowered the F350 as well. Where are you getting the information on Ford only lowering the F250?
Only the F250 is lowered.
Bob Nelson hears why I am asking. Starts at 11:05
ruclips.net/video/Xq-aEEbdLR8/видео.html
@@bobnelson2828 I still want 250
The old gas engine is NOT gone. They will still offer the 6.2 gas and have the 7.3gas as an option. The Old V10 is gone but that was only for F550's and up.
Nope your wrong!!!!! I know guys right now with 6.6 v10 gas motors in 2009 f250 trucks!!!!!!
@@michaelburke2824 First it's a 6.8 and yes....it was the standard gas option (along with the 5.4) before the 6.2 was offered.. You will currently only find the V10's in the Motorhome Chassis and the F550's. Pre 2011 SD's had the V10 option. You won't find a 6.8 in an F250 / F350 after the 2012 model year. The 7.3 that is coming WILL replace the 6.8's going forward and there will still be a 6.2 Option available.
Did they get rid of that stupid door jingle?
That new sound while the door is open?
Death wobble fixed?
The lines are clean and follow through, Chevy pay attention
Ouch it's so low to ground...
Feel good to see the Revive about what we want to here. non of the tech crap we all here of now days
Ford is smart with their vehicle launches. They wait until the competition shows their hand and then they’re able to make some tweaks if needed in order to beat the competitions numbers. Don’t be surprised if the diesel beats Rams 1000 ft lbs of torque with like 1025 or 1050 ft lbs. They’ll likely beat the 35,500 towing max of GM’s heavy duty trucks even if it’s only by 100 lbs. Ford will make sure they beat the competition even if it’s by one digit.
Ryan Lange it’s all getting a bit ridiculous, the bragging rights. Any one of the HD trucks are as capable as the others.
mike racicot the real truth is that any of these trucks can be easily upgraded with a plug in tuner and be pushing out 20% or more power with the push of a button. I’ve just noticed that Ford waits until GM and Chrysler reveal their vehicles before revealing theirs. The Shelby GT500 is a perfect example. Dodge dropped their car then Chevy with their Camaro and Corvette then Ford comes along and drops their competition beater.
At this point the Ram kicks the Ford’s ass with every refresh and it feels like they are playing catch up. The GMs are just way behind. I’m not saying the Ram is the best but I am saying at the rate they are going they will take Ford’s sales.
It's getting out of hand right now really..... We don't need huge trucks that cost more than half of a small house. Right now the most affordable sensible option is the damn Nissan and Toyota trucks. Still good looking, V8 is the only option, and most importantly both have reliability on their side and they tendto cost less.....
pushing more out of their trucks to match what Ram and Chevy have... meaning they might even sacrifice reliability or remove something important to shave weight off. seeing how thin or light some parts could get to save that weight, while hoping they are as strong. just think that the Ford is all Aluminum and thought they shaved tons of extra weight and yet still couldn't haul as much as a truck mostly done up with steel.
I want a console shifter super duty... or a manual..
Sadly don't have it
Is this a lariat?
3:33 Alex is literally on an Auto
Ford Exterior and Ram interior looks really good I like them both but if I want a Dependable truck I’m sticking with GM Duramax and Allison Transmission are the best they just Get it done.

Do the Ford Superduty come with a chain driven PTO?
Anthony Webber

@@Nostradamus_Order33, he said Ford and GM has the same transmission, I don't think so, because GM'S transmission has a PTO and I don't think Ford has a PTO
@martin joseph, not the Allison
Aluminum body is the way to go. If you want your truck rusting before it’s even paid off....look to the competition!
Tell FORD they need to bring back the manual shift on the floor four wheel drive system. Not everyone like the electric shift on the fly they only offering now for the 2020 models.
Great, there is no annoying intro/outro noise.
I thought they were keeping the 6.2 as well
You will get the 6.2L/6spd in the base model. The other two motors get the new HD 10 speed.
Yes 6.2 is the base engine and still available.
Nestor Chavez They are keeping the 6.2 also !!
This quote is from TFL truck: "First, the existing 6.2L V8 continues with a 6-speed automatic transmission for the base trucks. You can opt for the new 10-speed automatic transmission for the 6.2L V8, the all-new 7.3L V8, and the updated 3rd-generation 6.7L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8."
I do find it interesting that the 6.2L can be optioned with the 10 speed. I have not heard that from anywhere else so I have to wonder. But Ford seems to be moving it's entire fleet of trucks to the 10 speed.
Oooh holes in the grill.WOW. NOT!
What do you mean? Holes.
They aren’t getting rid of their old gas engine, Ford will continue producing the V8 6.2L gas, and have discontinued production of their V10 6.8L gas engine.

What consumers are they getting input from who say the truck looks odd sitting up high. So now they are going to lower it in 2020. I think it looks tough sitting up higher than Ram and GM. I am calling BS.
Def better than the disgusting new gm crap.
They need to update the dashboard badly

Dont really care about the petty towing number. All these trucks can haul more then 35000 pounds im sure they could say it hauls 40000 pounds with out them changing a thing but it may severely damage your truck.
