I love your shop. So many craftsmen on line seem to be working in an operating room where as yours looks like it is being worked in. Love your channel

Enjoyed your humor immensly and instruction wre great. Thanks so much!

Eddie's right about checking the measurements - the instructions do have some errors regarding sizes of holes but my peppermill kit from Turners Retreat did need a 1 1/16th hole so I drilled 1" and opened the bottom inch out another 1/16". I also copied the recess in the top to hide the join and it does look a lot better. Thanks Eddie, I really enjoy your videos and have a chuckle at the same time as learning some great tips.

Just a suggestion here Cap, do like I do, paint your drill shaft white and lay out 1/2 " marks up to what you feel is far enough, I use nail polish so it stays and then I use a clear nail polish when my layout lines dry, works like a dream. Thanks for sharing, hope you're feeling better.

After being away from wood turning for 20+ years, I am back. I am spending a lot of time on you tube, and I find you are one of the best. Finding good wood is a problem for me. Last week-end, I found 30+ very old cedar fence post on some land my son-law bought. I would say 75+ years. What do you think of turning items from red cedar? Thank you.

It’s always useful to watch several videos as you gain something from every one- things to do and things not to do. As a beginner (I made tobacco pipes successfully for years but the skills I taught myself were very specific) I’d say you can get tips from how he uses his turning tools. However, using that silly great big long drill bit setup is just odd. From what I learned in my time making pipes, a big long drill bit is just a recipe for trouble. You need your cutting tool shank to be as short as possible to maintain accuracy.
