Very pretty. I wasn't sure what you were doing originally with the wax paper but it worked in the end, and made more sense.
I agree on cake stands/serving trays. You want a lot of neutral things so you can reuse them again and again for various purposes. That said, I have a red cake stand and almost a seafoam green colored one and I've been using those two cake stands for my kids' birthday's every year for the last 5 years. It's crazy how many different looks they have both worked with. I've used them for other events, as well. Especially the red one---perfect for Christmas or Valentine's Day! I'd love to share some of the cakes I've done with you sometime. I don't have quite your level of skill and experience, but I've really honed it in over the years and I take a lot of pride in my work!
