Wow, there's so much street food in Poland, I'm quite surprised. My knowledge of Polish food is mostly pierogi, so it's really cool to see what other food they have, and it all looked so good! I might have to go make myself a pizza now, although there's no way it's going to look as good as that massive bread one you guys had 😆 Great video, really loving the Polish food.
Amazing street food tour guys! Really interesting and enlightening to see that there is so much street food in Poland. I would've never thought Poland as a hotspot for street food, but wow did all of that looked tasty. That pizza bread looked incredible, i love me some dill so i would love that! The grilled sausage also had me going to the kitchen to find some food after watching. Loved the fiery shots as well.

We enjoyed gaining an insight into Polish culture, history and food! The bigos looked so tasty! We were so jealous of the doughnuts, Steph! "Tim Horton's, eat your heart out😊! The traditional pierogies and grilled kielbassa looked so delicious! All the bread looks really good!!

To really get to know Polish cuisine you would have to travel to different regions of Poland, e.g. Silesia, Podlasie, Kujawy, etc. Each region has its own regional dishes that are very original, characteristic of a given area, traditional and tasty.
Hey guys. To keep things straight kiełbasa is Polish sausage is English. Same thing. Cheese used for pierogi is not cottage one but it’s farmers cheese and in Poland we name it white cheese. Greetings.

Starting any cold day with borscht (barszcz)[beetroot soup] is the king of morale raising. Especially if you have something to snack with it, like that bready-meaty combo, we like the small meat patties. (paszteciki) What I would say, a lot of intense flavours and a lot of it is thirst provoking..so get your water ready! Also, prices for those 'food stalls' are quite brutal. If you have any Polish friends, ask them to make you something, or you will overpay like mad. Nice video.

I never considered just how much natural street-food we actually have in Poland, all the pączkarnias, bistros, window-sold food stalls etc. are very common and popular among locals. Speaking of bistros - I wholly recommend visiting places like that whenever you visit a country if you're looking for authentic local cuisines. Look in less touristy part of the cities for those full of locals around lunch time and you will strike a goldmine more often than not for half a price.

You should try the traditional 'zapiekanki' from Krakow, which were popular during the communist era in Poland. They were very affordable back then, which made them quite popular. These are open-faced baguettes topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted cheese, often finished with a drizzle of ketchup. They're a delicious slice of history, and I'm sure you'd enjoy experiencing this unique and tasty piece of Polish culture!

Due to the richness of our language, none of us would call bigos Street Food. Street Food is food that can be eaten while walking, like 'zapiekanka, hot dog, burger'. Bigos and hunting goulash are two different dishes, pierogi, pork chop, bigos, and goulash are dinner dishes. Pączki are sweets. Bread, roll, and croissant are also three different things, which is why we call them differently. Cherries and sour cherries are also different things.
Donut jam is jam made from rose petals. the original 'rose' donut is just like that :) It's more expensive because you need a lot of rose petals to make jam :) Krakow - my city ❤😊

Szczególnie polecam z prażoną cebulą, albo szczypiorkiem, do tego oscypek (to ten góralski ser🤣),.sos czosnkowy i sos barbecue. To jest dopiero pycha. A cebula na pierogach nie jest marynowana. Jest duszona (podsmażana) na malym ogniu na maśle z dodatkiem soli. Pierogi sa bardzo proste do zrobienia, polecam spróbować e domu: 3szkl mąki pszennej, pół łyżeczki soli, 2 łyżki oliwy, 1 szkl wrzącej wody i wyrabiasz.

When I’m from baked stuffed dough was never called pierogi. Pieróg, I guess that was a thing coming somewhere from the east, but never that popular. I guess things have changed a lot.
Hey, you made that mistake by wandering around the city and eating the most expensive food in town, except for the blue Nyska :) Oh, those tourists. You could've had really good meals in Krakow for half the price, but you went to the priciest places. Krakow is cheap as long as you know where to go :) But cool video :) Love it !

Obwarzanek is the direct ancestor of the bagel. Jews who emigrated to America took this recipe with them and later adapted it to American tastes.
