No longer does anyone draw comparisons to Babe Ruth. He is the only one.
Take it easy. Ohtani is great and I love him but disrespecting a fat guy who didn't train and played a full career there is still no comparison. Ohtani career war 37 vs Babe Ruth 182 is not even in the ballpark yet. Ruth was a fat drinker that lived probably the worst lifestyle an athlete could live to minimize production and he still did what he did. HOF as a pitcher and a hitter.. So TAKE IT EASY AND SIT DOWN. Should also mention Ruth STILL has the top 3 spots for war in a season. 14.1, 12.9, 12.6 Why isn't Ohtani top 10 at least in that list? Because he's not proven to be as good over a single season let alone a career.

Ohtani led baseball last year too by a wide margin with an OPS of 1.066 while he was pitching. Once again he's tops in the majors with a ridiculous 1.102 OPS and its not even close. We knew he was the GOAT, but now he's become the best hitter in baseball? This guy's unreal.

He was a closer in the WBC final. I think hitting and closing is his calling for longevity.
There is no need to jump to conclusions. He wants to return to starting pitcher and the Dodgers can make gradual changes as he ages.
2025 Dodgers will take it easy on Ohtani's arm as a pitcher. Full potential of Ohtani being 100% Ace pitcher not till 2026, if his arm is healthy through recovery
