I always liked the Moorestown mall, I hope they figure out how to reinvent it to survive. I haven't been there in a year or 2, but there were glimpses of hope when I was there. I see some improvements since then in this video, so maybe... Thanks Sleeve!
I remember when I was a kid in the 1970’s they had a brand new 1979 Lincoln town car in the mall, metallic burgundy it was $15,000. Dollars. I saw Star Wars in the movie theater when it was released, the movie theater was across from Pathmark supermarket in the mall entrance near Woolworths and the pet store, they also had events, near the bakery, like the new car shows in the mall and a stage with Hawaiian dancers giving out lays and getting people to dance with them, it was a very happy place.
I worked at MM from 1996 to 1999, first at Mrs Fields Cookies, then The Wall record store. Had my ears pierced at the kiosk, between the two. Bought all my JNCO jeans from Boscov’s. That mall directory was where the radio shack used to be. The pop up store was Florsheim shoes. The places I would eat at food court during my break, app rest to be gone; Arbys and Saladworks. It really was vibrant during its heyday, competing with Cherry Hill Mall.
Yes, I thought the same. Sad that the true department stores are leaving so many of these fancy spaces, but at least something is taking their place in some malls.
This takes me back. I worked at Moorestown Mall as a Security Officer with AlliedBarton from 2006-08. I see some things are still there from when i last worked there and of many things have changed. The old skatepark that was there certainly kept us busy, especially with hurt skaters. That place was busy on the weekends and especially during the holiday season. Would certainly like to see this mall survive, in one form or another. Great video :)
I just finished watching your video 📹 today. The Lord &Taylor Department Store looks like a Thrift Store using Lord &Taylor Store Fixtures and Home Depot Shopping 🛒 Carts for the customers to use while shopping 🛒.
Really like this mail video. I worked nearby from 2015-2020 and went here for lunch and a little shopping every week . Those restaurants are very good , especially Joe Maplewood and Yard House . Movie theater is also very nice . I’d enjoy seeing more mall videos .😊
Had you ever been to the KMART across the street (closed about five years ago) which was built as a KORVETTES store? The Korvettes was only open from 1971 to 1974 (it was one of the last new Korvettes stores to open, but may have been the first store in the whole chain to close, long before they shut down in 1980!) and the building became a Kmart in 1976. The current MARSHALLS-HOMEGOODS combined store is part of the former Korvettes which Kmart didn't take (the whole building was too big for Kmart, at least by 1976 standards) but unfortunately I don't know what tenant took that space originally after Korvettes closed. Marshalls may have opened around the same time as Kmart (Marshalls entered the Philly suburbs around 1976) but the HomeGoods chain didn't exist until 1992, so we have a bit of a mystery here to solve!

I remember the cookie years.
@@imamejmg feels like a lifetime ago, and sometimes like yesterday.
Sleeve, really enjoyed your awesome Mall tour! I love these awesome videos of yours and looking forward to your next awesome video!
Turn 7 is such a huge step down from Lord & Taylor, but then again Turn 7 looks to be thriving while L&T is finished. So .....
Sure, but it's a huge step UP from a pandemic vaccination center!

They used to have a good coffee shop there, loved getting a coffee and crowd watching. Then shopping for watches on discount at Lord and Taylor

Suggestion: ride the light rail and stop at some random towns along the river.
Suggestion… walk the Columbus Flea Market on video.

As a matter of fact, I filmed that Kmart very early in my channel 's history. ruclips.net/video/fghqmG0SxYg/видео.html
Malls have to really reinvent themselves to survive
The mall might need to find some type of tenant needing self storage, medical or technical training school space to survive.
Alot malls are hurting just people by buying things online or Amazon
It was Gimbels not Gimbals
You’re pronouncing it like Morristown up north. I’m telling TD3…
All malls are on borrowed time.
I agree unfortunately. Or maybe they can think of a new model . Like things that can’t be find online but need personal touch .
