Here are some numbers: 17 TD, 16 INT, 76.9 passer rating; 11 TD, 15 INT, 67.5 passer rating. You know what those numbers are? They're Drew Brees' first two full seasons in the NFL - after he sat and watched for almost his entire rookie season. Even Drew Brees wasn't Drew Brees until his 4th year in the league, at age 25. And btw it happened under Marty Schottenheimer, not Sean Payton. So this idea that Bo NIx is so obviously the next Drew Brees that everybody can tell after just 30 pre-season passes, I find that to be ludicrous. The guy might have a bright NFL future, or he might end up being another overhyped bust. Personally I would not only bet that he won't be a hall-of-famer like Brees, but I would bet that this year he won't perform as well as Russell Wilson did last year either. Regardless, I don't think anyone is doing him any favors by calling him "Drew Brees 2.0" or "Drew Brees Jr." before he's ever taken a regular season snap. If he struggles, as a lot of rookie QBs do, that label may start to feel like an albatross around his neck.
