  • In this television interview, I share my thoughts on the decriminalisation of suicide in Ghana.
Parliament has amended sections of the Criminal Offenses Act of 1960, which criminalised attempted suicide. Following the amendment, any person who attempts to take his/her own life will be considered to be experiencing a mental health issue requiring assistance by law.
😊My name is Ese and I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2015.
Bipolar disorder is a mental illness that causes extreme mood swings which include emotional highs (mania) and lows (depression).
Its symptoms really affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behavior & the ability to think clearly.
