Brings tears to my eyes (in a very good way). My son went to Shenandoah University (the Conservatory within S.U. This was a staple when their ensemble went on the road. Beautiful! As a youth (55 H.S. reunions ago) we sung a Fred Waring arrangement of it in Chorus. Good memories.
This is exactly what I needed to see today. My grandfather passed last week and today was the funeral. So glad to be a part of this incredible project, and thank you for all your hard work on this Laura!
I’m so thankful to have been part of this (especially for being selected to play in the flute trio)! This is so beautiful Laura, keep up the great work!!
Incredible work, Laura! Thank you for bringing together musicians from all over the world and giving us a joyous purpose during these difficult times. xoxo
OK I like the vid and music, but people please, this is recorded in a music hall, use your ears. Can you not distinguish a recording, or recordings made in a small room from a concert hall?
I’ll take that as a compliment! I actually mixed together each audio track one by one and added reverb to the final mix, which is the concert hall vibe you’re hearing
@@lauracampbell4528 that's all cool and dandy, but then it leaves a question, was it all recorded in real time, like it shows in the video? Considering the poor compressed audio rates with real time web recordings it seems somewhat a compromise
@@eddierumbenieks9081 nope! Everyone recorded completely separately with a click track in their ear using either their phone mics or a plug in mic, and sent me their individual recordings via google drive. If you’d like to learn more about how it all works and how I edit it all together, you’re welcome to check out our instagram, or there’s some great videos out there on multitrack editing by people like Christopher Bill 😊
@@lauracampbell4528 Well that's what I'm saying, the video makes people believe that everyone's performing together, but my ears tell me it's a much more managed recording. I think this is a little deceptive, though, the end result is aesthetically and aurally pleasing.
@@eddierumbenieks9081 these kinds of videos called multitracks have been around for quite a while now, and have gotten more popular through the pandemic as a way for musicians to prepare a performance and “play together”. If this is your first time watching a multitrack then I’m glad to have introduced you to this world 😊 there’s some great videos out there of musicians playing with themselves to create a choir or band that you should definitely check out! Glad we could clear up that this definitely wasn’t filmed in a concert hall 😊👍

Beau~tiful!!! ♥
It's wonderful that you can draw so many players together. I've never seen that many bassoonists in one place. Risky! But the music is beige.
Beautiful! Special applause for the excellent video editing!!!
Beautiful scenes told the story well. Well done Laura, and to the musicians, especially the ones with matching tops!
Can't wait! This was an awesome opportunity to have! Thank You!
So thankful to be apart of this ensemble each project :)
This is what humanity can be if we let go and honor our planet....we should begin with music....and let us continue with love.
A wonderful way to start my day on 9-23-20! I thoroughly enjoyed this and thank you all.

Are there any specific or standard requirements in terms of what you recommend for recording equipment?
Did any of the percussionists have access to a chimes? I know there's a chimes part in here, too.
Can’t wait to see my self
