I got to see you today at UMHB when the Crusaders performed and I wanted to say hi but I got excited and forgot your name so I looked it up and by the time I remembered you were gone : (
Trumpet evolves into Baritone at level 16, Baritone evolves into Contra at level 36, boys I can see the future of pokemon!.......what am I even doing here? XD
you know I love ALL of your vids,,,,Keep on practicing your British accent!! It really does add to the vibe of your very amusing videos!! Cheerio,Chap!!!
I've wanted to switch to baritone since I realized drum corps don't March clarinet. Do you have any tips on switching since you switched from sax to mellophone? I'm a freshman so I feel like I may be able to switch if I really try.
Prapti Ramakrishnan I switched to euph/baritone from sax last year (my freshman year) and I'm relatively good so far. My tips are to ask your band director about switching and consider getting a lesson teacher. Also ask if your school has any spare horns you can practice on. See if you can get a sound out. It's worth it trust me.
Trellis Rose Since posting this comment I've asked a junior to teach me how to play so I could switch in a couple years. So far I've learned how to hit most of the notes in the B flat scale. The junior offered me her instrument to borrow (I turned it down for now BC I wanted to be able to buzz first) and she gave me a mouthpiece to borrow for the year. It's relatively easy, I just have weak air support. The pitch changes might be a problem for me but I think I'll be good at it soon. If you have any advice, please do share!
MiniCheetahGamer TV I’m pretty sure they’re just king or Jupiter baritones though tbh as my school has 1 euph (which I march) and 7 baritones all Yamaha, the kings and Jupiter’s are more like somewhere in between the two
No thats a bari the euphs tubing arent as crammed and the lead pipe on a euph goes straight into the 3rd valve where on a bari it loops once to make a main tuning slide and goes into the 1st valve
I'm in color guard and I'm doing kinda bad but I really like it... I get told that for a rookie I do really well, but I feel like I could Be doing better. I practice basically every second I can but I'm getting super stressed out about it... Any tips to handle all of the stress?
***** Those are baritones. I marched a season with a corps that used Jupiter baritones and euphoniums (same brand that boston uses) On Jupiter euphoniums the 3rd valve tuning slide has a very distinct shape to it. The ones in the video above have the normal baritone 3rd valve tuning slide. I can see where the confusion comes from though. At a glance the two instruments look very similar, they have the same playing range, and are in the same key, the euphonium has a darker sound. This is because of the tubing. The baritone has cylindrical tubing, the euphonium has conical tubing.
Shoutout to any of the Baritone players that use the ridiculously large variant of horn compared to the smaller Baritone. May your arms Rest In Peace and remember never in any circumstance even if a wasp decided to jump you for your lunch money drop that horn below 10 degrees above parallel. Stay strong!
+Lindsay Hemmer (GirlyGaming) This is a channel strictly for Drum Corp. Meaning the only Wind instruments that will be talked about is Trumpet, Mellophone, Baritone and Contra
"the baritone provides the ensemble with-you guessed it- the barito-tENOR? it's actually the tenor? n-no..tHAT DOESNT MAKE SE-"
best part of the video
Don't forget the part that the user dies the first time they try holding it for over 5 minutes
Q true
That’s definitely how I felt when my baritone went through...metamorphosis...in the middle of the season.
I just held it for the first time and I'm like: WHO THE F TOLD ME THIS THING WOULD BE LIGHT AND WHY DID I BELIEVE THEM
TRUE! I just got my marching baritone and I’m literally dying help

Hey, video from Hastings! I'm in the Colt Cadets, and we housed there at the same time as BAC.
I’m the only baritone in my band and this describes me so well
Trumpet evolves into Baritone at level 16, Baritone evolves into Contra at level 36, boys I can see the future of pokemon!.......what am I even doing here? XD
I must show this to the section it is perfect
Donovan... this is for you!!
THIS IS THE BEST THING THE INTERNET HAS EVER SEEN. INCLUDING BEARS.
Can y'all make a drumline one? A docu-battery, if you will
YASSS I've been waiting for a baritone video for so long and it made me laugh so hard #bearitone
Thanks!
Those are marching euphonium not baritones.
this is great dear gosh
So, do all corps use both baritones and euphoniums, or are euphoniums often overruled by baritones?
+Joshua Gentile Some use a 50/50 mix of baris and euphs, while some corps have all euphs or all baris (like BAC) for their low brass.
I believe the only corps that marches all euphs is Phantom Regiment
+Alexis Macy Blue Devils is an all Euphonium line
+Specop Killah actually the blue devils march both, but they are hybrids, so the only difference between them is the mouthpiece.
Really? Never noticed that before! Thanks dude.
I march baritone! By far the funnest section (The Low Brass that is) at least in my band.
Mikayla Same!! Baritones have always the been the strangest section by far
my baritone takes a whole school bus seat lol
Yay I saw like Alleo my friend from hs
you know I love ALL of your vids,,,,Keep on practicing your British accent!! It really does add to the vibe of your very amusing videos!! Cheerio,Chap!!!
Those are euphoniums...
All about the Bass Drums?
I remember someone once told me marching bari would be light when I first started marching…I couldn’t even survive holding it up for 2 minutes.
i think i’m gonna try and march dci with a baritone switching from bass clarinet
Bartiones master race
You should do a video on the dot book
Hey I play the baritone
And what kind of marching baritone do you guys have the way you’re holding it is kinda strange
I believe that is how corps typically hold their horn.
Common! I need a mellie one before band camp!
NamretsO he made one basically, a long time ago
I have strep throat, and you made me laugh...
... jerk.
please do a documentary about the trombones
AHAHAHA This is amazing. Especially all the shots of Jacob M- my brother! #gainz
All about the mellophone xD please
So funny! Love it!!!
SOMEONE HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT INSTRUMENT TO START OUT WITH FOR MARCHING BAND HELP WHATS EASIEST
Paige Penn I think what’s easy matters less than the instrument you think you’d enjoy to play most when considering ur instrument!
Especially because it’s gets easier over time. And level of difficulty differs between people
i mean most of the footage was of a marching euphonium but i as a marching baritone agree with all of these points
These were, in fact, all baritones 😁
He should do one of these for the mellophone
MY INSTRUMENT!
YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSssssss!!!!!!!!
ST BariTC I've been waiting for this!!!!
The gains
BATTERY! PIT! GUARD!

i think the euphonium provides the baritone
Anyone know what brand baritone they use. Kind of looks like a blessing
Why no Trombones or Sousaphone? They are also brass Corp, used in the marching arts!
+Socks, shoes, and hats They are using Bazooka Tubas instead of Sousaphones
+Jonathan LeFurge that makes since.
Guys does anybody know what guitar music David uses in his All About series? I've been looking for it
Could you do one for color guard members?

the concert ones, if you didn't realize, are what i was referring to
People march the concert euphonium in that anime not marching euph

May your arms Rest In Peace and remember never in any circumstance even if a wasp decided to jump you for your lunch money drop that horn below 10 degrees above parallel. Stay strong!
Why do they all have fanny packs?
Im in canada and yeah i heard it was hell coming from the baritones they had to sign papers with a pen
1:48 to 1:55 is the best part😂
That’s my instrument
My instrument
my family
what the different betwen euphonium and baritone?
Euphonium has a larger bore size than bari and is also just bigger in general, you get a bit of a darker sound from euphs.
Jdfuncorps oooh ok ok , thank you
I have the GAINZ!
You should do all about the flute bc why not
You do realize there are no flutes in drum corps, right?
ik but still
+Lindsay Hemmer (GirlyGaming) This is a channel strictly for Drum Corp. Meaning the only Wind instruments that will be talked about is Trumpet, Mellophone, Baritone and Contra
orichic51 :( i see... you like crushing dreams. im just kidding but i am aware... i didn't think this comment would get hate.... im sorry :/
Lindsay Hemmer its not hate cutie, its passing along information from one corp member to a flutist I promise :)
Obligatory statement on how contra are harder to march with
I don't get the Canada part
same
Damn, I’m the only girl in the entire brass band. I’m a Euphonium and Baritone
Euph gang
KALB (kick ass low brass) BARITONE ALL THE WAY!!!
If i was a brass player I’d be the lowest of the low I can have!
The 17 dislikes are trumpets
