Tezcali was probably inspired by Tezcatlipoca, the Aztec god of (among other things) the North, the Night sky and the Cold. He was named after the mirror he owned, with which he could look into the people's hearts. He was also the brother and archenemy of Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent (=dragon?) and God of the Sky (=Kandrakar, maybe?), so... I don't know, maybe it was supposed to be symbolic, but I can't decipher it anymore than you, I'm afraid ^-^'
Yeah, the first story was pretty weak. The biggest gimmick about that Christmas special was probably that it originally served as a calendar for next year. But some international releases (at least two, to my knowledge) ommited that part, but still had the colorful full page drawings scattered around the comics, just as posterlike(?) illustrations instead. I remember as a kid thinking it was strange that W.i.t.c.h. would have a special with some full page illustrations in between regular comic pages. Even tho they were pretty, it still was strange to me. And then years later, when I found out in Italy it was a calendar, I was like: Oh, that makes sense.
If I hadn't put it out early December I would have missed my chance, I got really busy and sick. I decided to cover all of the Christmas specials at once.
This takes me back to forgotten memories! I got these magazines as a child, but since they are gone now, I appreciate videos like these ^^
Thank you! Discussing W.I.T.C.H. to no end is my favorite hobby. 😅

I have a copy of the "annual" edition which is the calendar.
I feel like this should've been uploaded around December 20th-25th
Also, how are there 3 Christmas chapters in back to back chapters
