I have lg v40 thinq (also a flagship phone), now it's only 8k pesos. I would've purchase other flagship phones because lg is always late for updates but i really like their phone, screen and the audio quality. It's really a nice choice to buy old or 2nd hand flagship to save money and honestly flagships with 4yrs of age still works better than the most budget-midrange phones today.
As asus zenfone 5 user, imo this phone works amazing, zenfone 5 has double speaker with dolby atmos, outstanding voice cancellation audio, great camera work and video 60fps, super bright lcd.. i dont think its worth it to buy new one that cost me more with not so far spesification when asus is already this good

I remember when I bought my iPhone SE 1st gen 2nd hand back in 2019. I was able to haggle it from P4.5K down to P4.3K and I used the phone for 1 year and a half! It was such a great deal for me but I had to upgrade due to some limitations
My current phone which I have is my father's old phone, (samsung galaxy NXT) which is actually good for using now also but it has some limitations and the battery is horrible. My parents are telling me they can buy me a new phone but the good ones are very expensive 😔 So I was thinking that I will just continue to use the current phone I have for next 3 to 4 years at least (since my degree gets over in next 4 years). And then later buy a better, expensive phone instead 😎 And tbh after seeing your video I thought of checking out second-hand phones but the place where I live, there's no honesty at all. Omg we literally have the same phone before and after (even both the colors!). I loved my zenfone 3 so so much until the screen just won’t turn on in 2019 and replacing the screen would cost as much as buying a new one. So I inherited my mom’s phone which is zenfone 5 and I have been using it until now! I probably will need to replace it soon though just because of the reduced battery life, but it still works perfectly aside from it 🥺
right now i use secondhand phone. i didn't bought this but my cousin gave this to me since my old phone doesn't work anymore. this is huawei y6 pro 2019 hehehe my cousin used this for just 7months i think then she bought her new iphone. i really love this. still looks new hehehe

I searched it and a brand new of that is 23k (peso). :O Even has Snapdragon 845 processor. :O Only downside is that phone originally does not have that much of a big battery life. I also sell 2nd hand phones and you made a great purchase, in my opinion you should've gotten the google pixel 3a bc it has unlimited storage for photos and it captures photos as good as iphones and it has a cleaner user interface or software than Asus that you have bought

Uhmm..I think I'm not really the best person to ask whether you should buy the zenfone 8 (there are tons of reviews here on YT, btw ^_^) but what I can say is that the phones Asus make are good and reliable, well for me atleast. So, if you have the money to get their newest model then I would highly suggest it. 😉🌼
Also, the phone I got was "sim free" which meant that I can use any sim from any network provider of my choice 👍🏻
