    Tsitsi's targeting Sinner's backhand with a high loopy ball gave fruits in the end: notice how many times Jannik had to do one-legged jump on his right leg when hitting a backhand. In the end, his right leg caved in to the pressure.

    This was an incredible match, and to everyone crying about how Tsitsipas hit something out that an umpire should have called and that Sinner would have won had he not called a trainer for a slight injury well, guess what, that’s what we humans call a tennis match where many things happen that are out of our control. Should there be Hawkeye? Of course, but that’s a story for another day. I hate seeing people say “he should have won” or “she should have won”. No, the person who won should have won because a combination of fate and skill made them win. I mean, maybe my eyes were deceiving me, but Stefanos wasn’t exactly a slouch out there. He deserved it!!! And I wanted Sinner to win😂

    • @got2bjosh
      @got2bjosh 2 месяца назад +1

      Child, please. That HORRIFIC call occurred at BREAK POINT missing a ball that was out by a whopping 7CM. Sinner would've rightfully earned the double break up 5-1 and would've been off court before the cramping issues got him.
      Tennis has insanely thin margins and corrupt calls like that absolutely matter to the outcome of a match... which is precisely why they (line judges & umpires) pull that mess. Sinner's weak finger-tipped handshake with Aurally Retort said it ALL.
      After the Serena-Capriati QF debacle at USO '04, Hawk-Eye was implemented to remove human bias in matches. We've since evolved to the upgraded electronic line calling system for a reason: greater accuracy & even less bias. Enough already with people trying to play god by inserting themselves into matches instead of letting the players decide on court through match play.

      @Tennisisreallyfun 2 месяца назад +4

      @@got2bjosh I agree, that umpire was foolish and also has a history of making really bad decisions. I saw the call, that was insane, and that’s why we need Hawkeye which, let’s face it, works fine on clay, we all know it. But that’s fate, I’ve played through that myself in tournaments, it’s not Stef’s fault and that call does not make it so that he does not deserve to win as people here are saying. He did deserve to win as he played very well and it just wasn’t in the cards for Sinner. Understand me now…child?

    I listen to Sinner's press conference and I loveJannik's sportsmanship. Period. But this is when you miss McEnroe. An empire a making mistake like that? You do have to act and react, even it's not your job. Everyone makes mistakes, sure. That's why when you see one and it affects you, stop and raise your hand.

    I actually tipped Tsitsipas for this match, but I have to say he was really finished in that third, it took not only a Sinner injury but also a horrible call or better yet non-call at 3-1 BP Sinner for the double break to give the Greek any hope, but what he did do it capitalise on that hope and remained resilient the whole way through, big win for him but super unfortunate for Sinner, hopefully he can return at full health for rest of clay swing.

    If Tsitsi played like this everytime he would probably be at the top of the ranking. He was able to play heavy with Sinner and keep him so behind in the first set, then was able to make up his mind in the 3rd (which he really doesn't do so frequently) and stay focused until the end. Hope to watch a great final.

    While its a shame that Jannik couldnt win a Masters on clay, Stefanos is in great form and seems in his best form for ages. Same with Ruud.
    Going to be a VERY INTERESTING season on Clay
