  • What are the 8 best things you can do on Norwegian Encore cruise ship for free, as they are included within your cruise fare? Norwegian Encore launched in November 2019 and, like the rest of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, has lots of choice and facilities. However, many of these do costs a fee above your cruise fare to use, including some restaurants, activities and facilities. So, I reveal what the very best things you can do on board Norwegian Encore that you do not have to pay extra to do. Some, I hope will surprise and please you!
    Note: I travelled as a guest of the cruise line before making this video on a short shakedown cruise before the ship went to fare-paying passenger service

    We've always loved the free live music to be found in various venues around NCL ships. Going from place to place and just listening and people-watching makes for fun evenings.

    My wife and I sailed from Southampton to New York on the Encore in early November. Loved it! As you said the Kinky Boots show and the Choir of Man were absolutely first rate, as were the regular lounge entertainers. The cast members of the two main shows often appeared on the Observation Lounge with the entertainers and sang their own numbers. We had such a good time we signed up for a Panama Canal cruise on the Norwegian Bliss next year!

    Thanks for this video Gary. Our first cruise on Norwegian will be on the Encore in December 2020. Not having ever cruised with Norwegian, it's nice to hear what comes with the basic cost. Good video!

    I haven’t researched all of the kids’ clubs but there is a charge for Guppies. There are also stiff rules about acceptable food and your child cannot be crying when you drop them off. They can also not be sleeping. You cannot leave your child and get off the ship. You get a special phone so they can contact you if there’s an issue and the phone only works on the ship.

    This is an odd video Gary! I felt as though you were almost thumbing your nose at all the upsells. (And there are tons!) We spend lots of time just watching the ocean, and we've been rewarded with fantastic experiences such as pods of dolphins in the hundreds, whales, sea birds, flying fish, sharks, and just lots of scerene sublime and relaxing entertainment.

    Great video but i would take the time to edit the splash academy part. No longer can you leave kids there while on port, in fact the SA is closed all port time. Have a good day!

    Room service is now $9.95 all day for each delivery. I heard there is no more free Continental breakfast room service with limited menu anymore. They do have what my brother and I got that includes a daily breakfast room service as part of what is called Priority Access! $90/person in the room and includes many other benefits.

    Hello Gary, we have discussed cruising before and how bad Costa is . On a positive side , I want to communicate with all RUclips cruise reviewers , like yourself . What I want to say is , I want to petition either Norwegian or Royal to have regular crossings , from North America to Europe , like The Queen Mary 2 does . I crossed on The Queen Mary 2 , 3 times then the fourth crossing on The Norwegian Escape , England to Miami Florida , The Escape was so much better than The Queen Mary 2 , just with the variety of things , it offered alone .I believe with a proper add campaign in the Tri State area and in London , my idea would be a hit , especially if they docked their ships in NYC and let people take a tour of their ships . I know with Corona , now is not a good time , but let us hope all will be well soon.

    Was just recently on the Encore for their 'Alaska from Seattle' cruise a few weeks ago. The best part is that because of Covid and the fact that I went during the tail-end of the season, there weren't a ton of people (especially no kids). They also loosened a few of the paywalls for certain restaurants, bars and room services to entice people.
    I had a great time, I loved the ship, I would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

    I’m afraid I would be overwhelmed by the number of people and the size of the ship…

    Their theatre offerings sound excellent, I really enjoy theatre but just can’t get into revenue style shows like they show as their main theatre attractions on many cruise ships... they are just too much fluff or something for me. Broadway style musicals (or West End I suppose?) I can get into... I also really like high quality ordinary spoken dialogue plays (Shakespeare, anyone?) although I won’t push by luck by looking for those on a cruise ship any time soon lol.

    Some "vacation" have to worry about paying more after paying for your cruise. I'm looking for a Norwegian/Carnival/Princess/Royal Caribbean type cruise that once you paid your cruise fare EVERYTHING would be INCLUDED. You go on vacation to where you pay one price and have everything included otherwise it's no longer a "vacation".

    • @nadiathomas4342
      @nadiathomas4342 4 года назад +1

      I think Oceania is a cruise line like that. Everything included. But of course it’s double/triple what you’d pay on a cruise where you have options to pay or not or do or don’t.

    • @briancline7349
      @briancline7349 4 года назад

      “Otherwise it’s no longer a ‘vacation’.”... so I guess you don’t do much “vacationing” to the beach, theme parks, Europe in general, or anywhere else that you don’t have “EVERYTHING” included in one price? That’s quite an interesting and unique definition of “vacation” that you have there btw...

    I thought this would be something exclusive for Encore but this is something you can do on every ship I have been on. And before you start comenting about the gocart or the laser dome... It's not free of charge. This video was a total waste of time...

      While what you're saying is in fact true, the information may be pertinent to someone who plans to sail on Encore, but has never done a cruise with NCL.

    • @tonyhinojosa7710

      He did specify that the go cart track was pay to use, but that it was free to watch, and he never said any of these activities were exclusive to the Encore. A little bit of comprehension goes a long way.
