I always think when I was doing only no complies was the exact moment I gave up on skateboarding progression lol. I was around seventeen, maybe eighteen. I asked this guy how he did no comply bonelesses and I fell in love with the trick. Maybe it was a freudian slip, maybe I was not complying enough! Never saw my skating friends again, around that time. They were hanging out with this kid who was born with his chest caved in, and they thought they were in a gang. I used to go behind this store alone to skate dresed all punked out (I hate the punk scene too), and they had a ditch and I'd try to do no comply 360 front shuvs and it started to get sketchy back there. Sometimes I don't know how to go home before it gets dark. I got robbed a few times, and they started having parties and cars would drive by and pop out shots. They eventually got into heroin and died, my friends. Tried to drag me down a few times with them, too. And it almost worked, I shouldn't be here today. But radical positivity always wins. I feel like a kid again on my skateboard! That's why these videos mean the world to me sometimes, even the ones I might skip. I haven't been to my local in a while (that we didn't used to have) but everyone is telling me that if people don't start to respect the space a little bit more, then they're just going to tear it down. There's so many other parks in the city now, that it would be a big smudge on my neighborhood, if they had to do that. Just because people wanna be embarassing. Also I have to start working towards turning my no comply impossibles into real impossibles lol.
No complys are so dynamic and diverse
Thanks for taking your time and energy to make this video guide for us all to reflect on
