Works great . I just got mine. I went to were I work because there is no service down there , had service every where I drove. Never would get service till I got back to top of the hill. But now I got service every where around there. Also goes to lot of parks and lakes were there is no cell service. So now got service there. Highly recommended 👌
Could I use this product as a hotspot booster at my house for gaming? And if so how can I power the booster if it only uses a car adaptor as a charger.
I got the older version you have there(be here tomorrow) that way for the same $200, I can add the commonly done Wilson directional antenna (or have it on hand), plus the extra hardware needed. Would you say, at least as far as signal boost alone goes, they are about the same? Thanks for the video.
I've only ever used the older one with the short stock antenna and it was ok. But the old one didn't boost 4G LTE signals - only 3G so that's why we upgraded. There's a noticeable 4G LTE boost.
so the booster transmit from a external box. then why is it necessary to place it into cradle? (i think i know why) I'm also curious about a few things... if you place a secondary phone close to the cradle would the second phone get a signal boost. And if it does boost would someone in the back seat benefit from a small boost if using their phone?
The box is only a signal amplifier, and not a transmitter. It amplifies the cell signal picked up via the antenna and then sends a stronger version of that signal directly to the cradle. It works so well by focusing the amplified signal to one spot (the cradle) vs something that uses more power and re-broadcasts to an area. WeBoost does make the area boosters too but they go up in price. The only phone that gets the boost is the one in the cradle, so matter how close you put another phone to it.
It's a RAVPower 60W 12A 6 port. I actually run two of them in this rig, one in the front powered by the factory inverter and one in the rear powered by the Xantrex inverter. They have been flawless. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OQ19QYA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just purchased this it's okay but I hate the ugly antenna I purchase the Wilson antenna which is bigger but it will not hook into the booster it's a different connection and there isn't any connections out there to fix this do you have any suggestions
@@BigWaveDaveO Did you ever figure out how to attach a different antenna to this? i too don't want to use that antenna. What type of connection is on the factory antenna, is it not just an SMA-Male?
You need a converter. www.amazon.com/Converter-HOTOR-110-220V-Cigarette-Lighter/dp/B01LX5LRP9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1530142790&sr=8-1&keywords=ac+to+dc
So after several trips now, many offroad, I've modified it. The cradle itself is secure with the phone in it but the vent attachment could not handle the bouncing around that we do. I very easily removed the magnet from the vent attachment and 3M taped it to my dash. Then the magnetized cradle sticks right on to it. That setup never moves and it much better. The OOTB setup from weBoost might work better in other vehicles but in the Jeep the very square, straight up and down design of the dash was too much for the rough ride. The 2 second fix was perfect.
Dude ... I hope your production value has improved since this vid. Bad audio ("in a cave" voice on left, music on right? ... whaddup with that?!), forever-and--a-day to get started with the review, etc. I left after a couple minutes and found some shorter, faster reviews. :-(

Is it logical to say that the boost would also increase the “hotspot”?
Does the phone need to be in the cradle in order for the signal to be boosted?

Your Hiker trailer video has very low audio levels. Please fix.
Is this compatible with 5g?
I believe they have a newer model out now that is. You'd have to check with WeBoost.
What is the USB port next to the passenger seat you use? Thanks

Amazon has a Type N Female to SMB Female that should work. I am trying that out and will let you know.

Did you ever figure out how to use the larger antenna?
Any ideas on how to easily change this to AC power?

Do you still feel the cradle is secure ?

the bars went back down to 1 after u said it works lol.. but i think the device works well.
Does my mobile hotspot speed go up if I use this?
In the User Manual it states "IMPORTANT: The FCC requires to never use the cell phone in the cradle
next to your ear."
It came with a manual? :) That's a little scary, since I use it in the cradle all the time. I should probably go to the doctor.
is it just me or does this sound weird
Invisibility mode?
Haha, dead switch, fun cover sticker.
It would be great if you can run the speedtest.net app to compare the actual LTE speed before and after.
music is stereo the voice is mono left only, it kinda sucks
Great video. But shit Audio in the start!
