It was really cool moment in eso after i had completed the daggerfall covenant vampire-questline (dont remember the zone anymore) and i was in the castle or whatever like where you go when you have finished the main quest line in a zone, and this song was playing sitting there next to that vampire girl after the epic quest line just chilling :D one of the few times eso actually felt like a good game lol
Malukah, I heard the song "red diamond" playing in ESO and couldn't help but stop and listen to it it was so wonderful. So I started listening to your playlist and you have the most beautiful voice. I love you.
Absolutely fantastic, amazing, orgasmic. This is an amazing piece and a finer voice for it could not be found. Thank you for this, thank you. May the Eight and One bless you and keep you, Malukah.
Has anyone made a mod to make Skyrim bards sing ESO songs yet? They may not be relative to the game story but as we all know from real world music, a lot of oldies are goodies. I would love to walk into the winking skeever in Solitude and hear this.
Lol, the irony is - this is, and has been the song I've been hearing lately, when I go from town to town. Just yesterday, I almost got whooped by that water serpent in Craglorn. Next time I'm on, I'm considering some cave in Eastern Malabal-tor, because there's supposed to be some hidden quest where all the player has to do is pick up a shield, then the quest objectives have the player character take the shield to its owner.
Ok so lots of people have been complaining about the accuracy of this song. I'm here to help understand why it's fine line by line cuz I'm bored and want to loar. "When Akatosh slew Lorkhan he ripped his heart right out" -Unreliable Narrator here mostly. Stories differ. Trinimac or Auri-El. Trinimac is just the most widely accepted story. "Hurled it across Tamriel, and the heart was heard to shout." -So this is a big one. The fact that Akatosh did it, not Auri-El. This just show the extent of the Marukhati Selective's effectiveness of retconning the Divines. Akatosh is a little bit Auri-El and a little bit Shor (this last bit is important for later). He's the god of Spacetime. To sumarize what would otherwise be a longwinded rant. Akatosh didn't exist until Auri-El and Shor were myth-slapped together in the 1st era which retroactively created him as the "Present" Aka shard. "The laughing heart sprayed blood afar." -Laughing as if it knew something they didn't know. This was the plan all along, to become the heart of Nirn (important for later). "A gout on Cyrod fell, and like a dart shot to its mark down in an Alyeid Well." -The blood, not the heart. "Magicka fused the Lorkhan blood to crystal red and strong." -Crystals are important here. Crystals have magical properties as well as symbols of perfection. Magicka is also life. Nothing can live without it. This is why the sun is needed, why vampires drink blood, why plants live off of light. Magicka comes from Aetherius. "Then wild elves cut and polished it down to Chim-el Adabal." -Ayleilds used the gem as their stone for their Tower, White-Gold. The Imperial City Myth-Echos the Aurbis with the Tower as Mundus an the Ruby Throne and Nirn. The Diamond is the Stone of the White-Gold Tower constructed by the heartlanders. "When elves lost Nirn to Man" -Alessia Rebellion" "Akatosh gave the stone" -Why would Akatosh care about it if he ripped it out? It is Him is It is Them. Akatosh the cage and caged by the chest. Lorkhan bound the Dragon. There's a very good reason why the symbol of the Empire is a Dragon in the Diamond. (sit on that a sec) "To Saint Alesh in token of her right to sit the throne." -Alessia is the Mother of Nirn, the Heart, and the Heart was gifted to her as her right to be the Mother. Lots of vaginal symbolism here to show her feminine power and motherhood. (seriously, look at the imperial flag in ESO and tell me it's not a vagina). "Red Diamond! Red Diamond The heart and soul of Men." -Lorkhan, god of Men. God of Nirn. "Red Diamond! Red Diamond! Protect us til the end." -Gifted to protect from daedra.
Sothas Not quite the interpretation I took. The song is about the Amulet of Kings, the Red Diamond that acts as the barrier between Tamriel and the Planes of Oblivion. "When Akatosh slew Lorkhan he ripped his heart right out"- Akatosh, who the Elves know as Auri-El, slew Lorkhan after they had been tricked into creating Mundus. "Hurled it across Tamriel, and the heart was head to shout"- He threw it away, discarded it. The heart would eventually land on an island to the North East of Cyrodiil and Vvardenfell. The volcano known as Red Mountain, in the province of Morrowind. "The laughing heart spread blood afar, great gouts on Cyrod fell. And like a dart shot too its mark, down in an Ayleid well"- As you say, this is Lorkhan's blood "Magicka fused the Lorkhan blood to crystal red and strong. Then Wild Elves cut and polished it down to Chim El-Adabal"- The Lorkhan blood was turned into red crystal, which the Wild Elves mined and forged into the most powerful soul gem ever created, the Chim El-Adabal known to men as the Amulet of Kings. "When Elves lost Nirn to Men, Akatosh gave the stone, to Saint Alesh in token of her right to sit the throne."- This indicates the closing act of the foundation of the Alessian Empire. When Alessia became empress, Akatosh gave her the Amulet of Kings (literally, a stone!) to signify the new covenant between the gods and men. They agreed to be deities of man as well as of the elves. The Amulet of Kings became the protective charm to keep out the Daedra of Oblivion (which would eventually be smashed during the Oblivion Crisis). "Red Diamond! Red Diamond! The heart and soul of man!" - The Amulet of Kings
TheMythicKhan You didn't exactly saying anything that disputes what I said, nor did you say anything all that different. So... what was the point? Are you disputing anything specifically? Small thing: Red Mountain and Vvardenfell didn't exist before the heart hit there. It was a sea, the Heart created Red Mountain and the Tower.

Levi Embry The only difference is that his explanation was simplistic (not bad or wrong). However, it was still the same save for the Akatosh/Auri-El thing. We will have to back up to the Dawn Era here to explain how it works. During the Dawn there was no time, no substance, no Order, and no Chaos. There was only Maybe. Anu and Padomay's interplay birthed the et'ada, this is widely known and understood to a point. However, Anu and Padomay both birthed themselves into the Maybe. Many call this their "souls" for lack of a better term. These beings were Anui-El and Sithis. They are the Aurbical manifestations of Anu and Padomay. Think of them more like math and physics than actual beings. In many deep lore communities, you will see someone probably say "Sithis is math" while discussing him and the Dark Brotherhood's misinterpretation of what Sithis is. This is what they're talking about. As you move further and further away from the Godhead, you become more and more aware, for He is sleeping and all things are of Him. Anui-El and Sithis are still incapable of influencing the Aurbis as they'd like and their "souls" are birthed. These are Aka and Lorkhan. When Aka is born time begins. At this point, time is still chaotic and non-linear. From here we are going to skip ahead a bit to Convention. Lorkhan is slain. His heart is ripped out, his body ripped in two, and his soul is scattered. This stabilizes Nirn, creates the Moons (unless the Khajiit and Bosmer are right), and sends his soul every which way. Lorkhan eats Aka and Aka is shattered. Keep in mind, all of these events happen at the same time and at different times. There is still no linear time. Also, Convention itself is often referred to as "untime." One happening before the other is a concept that cannot exist. This event, however, does create linear time. And as most know, the Aedra give themselves to Mundus to create it. They are a very real part of the mortal realm, forever entwined with it. Within Mundus there is an unseen and often undiscussed force. It is called mythopoetics. This is the ability to create myth through story. Only in Mundus, the myth is real. In short, mythopoetics is the ability of the beliefs of mortals to shape the Aedra into their own beings. This creates the different Aka shards as well as others such as Kyne and Khenarthi. Orkey and Arkay. Shezarr, Shor, and Sheor. As Aedra, the Aka shards are also affected by this. Auri-El, Akatosh, Alduin, Alkosh, and Tosh-Raka. The maybes include Bormahu who might just be what the dovah call Aka and Peryite who is seen as Akatosh's shadow or mirror (hint: all the Aedra have one in the Daedra. The Gods and Demons aren't actually all that different). Together, they are the Time Dragon, but as mortal perception alters them, they are different. Auri-El: Represents the beginning of time. This is from the Altmer obsession with the Dawn, the "before time," and their desire to return to it. He is often described as the head of the Dragon. Akatosh: Represents the present time. The Cyrodillis are very stuck in the present. They are often unable to learn from the past and can't see into the future. He is the body of the dragon. Alduin: Represents the end of time. Ever notice Nords are obsessed with the end and the cycle? This is Alduin. He's the tail of the dragon. Alkosh: Represents the stability of time. He's often thought of to be with and/or conduct the actions of the Jill to fix time. He's the Khajiit depiction of Aka and to explain why would honestly take WAY more space than I'm willing to use. Especially after what I've already written. Find "A Khajiit C0DA" on Tomorrowind Today. That could help. Tosh-Raka: Represents the future. Akavir is the future. Not the future of Tamriel, just the future. This would take a lot of explaining as well. Read "A Model of the Godhead" on Tomorrowind Today to help. Akatosh as he is seen today didn't exist until the Man-loving Maruhkati Selectives danced atop White-Gold using Dawn Magic in hopes to remove the elven aspects of the time dragon from the human Aka shards. Jury is out on how well it worked, but it definitely did break the dragon. This is what caused the Middle Dawn. They definitely did something because Akatosh is the God of Spacetime, space being Lorkhan and time being Aka. I'll stop my rant here. Please feel free to ask any questions or dispute anything.
Then again, Trinimac didn't hurl the Heart across Tamriel, that actually was Auri-El/Akatosh. Trinimac ripped out the Heart then gave it to Auri-El. But I suppose replacing Akatosh with Trinimac would be more true, if not completely so.
***** Yeah, Akatosh is formed when Alessia attempt to make imperial pantheon based on similarities of each of the creation-involving aedra pantheon Akatosh is basically Elven Auri-el + Nordic Shor (Nordic version of Lorkhan) becaming a new myth and then became the in-lore reality
Except he tricked them, why do you think the Heart laughed at trinimac and auri-el. Also AKATOSH didn't exist at the time, he is the fusion of Shor and Auri-el that was created by the selectives during the middle dawn.
"But when Trinimac and Auriel tried to destroy the Heart of Lorkhan it laughed at them. It said, "This Heart is the heart of the world, for one was made to satisfy the other." So Auriel fastened the thing to an arrow and let it fly long into the sea, where no aspect of the new world may ever find it."

When i quited the game after getting to rank 10, completing the campaign, owning on pvp, being a fkn badass... I leaved my breton templar in a tavern with a woman singing this song... NOW I WANT TESO 2!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I PLAYED IN MY LIFE!!!!
I sung the song with Trinimac instead of Akatosh and it sounded fine…why didn't they write it and have the people sing it like that? It sounds a bit better with Trinimac in the begenning…..
Unreliable Narrator. Akatosh was directly responsible for the event of Lorkhan's death, i.e. the deeds of the King's Kinght are for the glory of the King Or both
+Thomas SCHWARZ Oh, reviewing this song, I think that what is meant is that the Heart landed in what is now known as Red Mountain, but the gushing blood fell into an Ayleid well and was crystallized by the magicka into the Amulet of Kings.
+DarkAdonisVyers Yes and no. Chim-el Adabal is a complicated item, as is the Heart of Lorkhan. The diamond is hardened blood from the Heart. Lorkhan and Akatosh aren't all that separate. Akatosh gives his heart to Alessia to protect man, but the diamond is Lorkhan's blood. There are connections here. This is thanks to the Marukhati Selectives who attempted to remove the mer aspect of the Time Dragon and slapped a bit of Shor into him. This retroactively made Akatosh (cuz timey whimey, a common occurrence in TES). Chim-El Adabal symbolizes Lorkhan's heart Akatosh's sacrifice. Symbols are extremely important in TES. Lorkhan caged the Dragon, which is why the symbol of the Empire is a dragon in a diamond. It's all connected. They're also both stones to Towers. They're powerful. With that said, they are physically separate items.
Many legends say that Auriel/Akatosh killed Lorkhan's physical body, which became the moons. Are you saying that Lorkhan had planned out even his own physical death and used that to outsmart the Time Dragon?
A champion of Mer (elven) pantheon. Was considered the strongest Aedra and in this scenario - served Akatosh/Auri-el by killing trickster god Lorkhan. Later when daedric prince Boethiah confronted him he was defeated, devoured thus leading in a lot of consequential events he became Daedric prince Malacath who watches over Orsiniom and Orc race.
Sothas U mean Arkay* ? It's only a speculation that he was a son of Lorkhan... Then again, another version says that he was son of Akatosh and Mara, another says of Lorkhan and Mara, third says a demi-god of Akatosh and mortal woman... ah i love riddles
koldunas8 No, I meant Orkey. There's a lot of evidence pointing him to the leftover aedric remains of Trinimac. It's part of the dworc theory (which is wrong btw).
6 years late but its because many of the divines helped the races of men gain freedom from the elves that enslaved them, particularly during the rebellion of the imperials against the ayleids by saint alessia. Akatosh (who is just the imperial conceptual fusion of the elven god auri-el and the nord dragon of time alduin, although it was likely just auri-el who was playing the role of both akatosh and alduin for most of history, but thats a different story) akatosh made the pact with saint alessia and gave them the dragonblood, making a line of dragonborn emperors who would light the dragonfires and maintain the barrier between mundus, the mortal plane, and oblivion. This is mostly because the ayleids had turned their back on the aedra in favor of the daedra. Kynareth also helped the rebellion by sending morihaus the man bull to help. Lorkhan helped mankind in this initial rebellion too, as he incarnated as Pelinal whitestrake, another cyrodiilic hero and figure in the initial rebellion of man against mer
You know what I hate the most about it the fact that it lacked imagination hell maybe I want to build a house fit for a dragon moders lol they did ten times better in houses and companions like IGnis it is best
+videobeetle8 The Eye of Magnus is also not Magnus' eye. What the Eye truly is is still debated, but the majority of deep lore scholars, lorebeards, all hold to the KINMUNE idea.
Sothas Oh god. No. Please. Don't bring up KINMUNE. I know Magnus' Eye isn't his eye, thats like calling the Heart of Lorkhan a literal heart instead of his divine spark. But KINMUNE, or basically the entirety of C0DA, doesn't qualify as canon, and they never claimed being canon.
All aboard the C0DA hate train. Choo choo! Now maybe you can hop off your high horse there are we can have q discussion. I'll start. First off, C0DA and KINMUNE have nothing to do with each other. NOTHING. They are separate stories with the only ties being the writer and the universe they're in. Second, /r/teslore is the most active and most prominent lore community currently. KINMUNE is largely accepted there. Third, notice I did not say that the Eye absolutely without a doubt IS KINMUNE, I said that it's very accepted in deep lot communities that it is KINMUNE. Lastly, C0DA is lore. It's a story written as a sequel to Morrowind to wrap up the over-arching story that existed and had no conclusion. It provides deep insights into areas and answers where there were only questions. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it bad.
Sothas I understand it. I don't like it, but I understand it. I preferred the questions to making the Aurbis Sci-Fi. I tend to ignore all that crap from MK like using the Dreamsleeve as internet or 'Digitals' or Talos being a sad virus. Or the entire concept of making a new universe without PSJJJJ being the goal of Mundas when the fucking thing would do nothing for the Aurbis or the Dreamer and would just make a separate dream which nobody could really interact with. Especially when MK admitted he didn't think of Amaranth when he was writing the lessons of Vivec. You'd think Lorkhans final goal would be achieving CHIM, since that would make them real while still retaining their identity, instead of basically zero summing with more positive results.

Thank you very much ! Though at the beginning, isn't more Bb than Bm ?

Back after a year to better what I wrote to myself:
No Capo

I'm so happy that Malukah got featured in ESO. She deserves this and it's good to see that her talent is appreciated.

Berkay i agree she has a lovely singing voice i like her witch 3 cover of the wolven storm alot also

I’ve heard this song in the tavern in Wayrest.

One of the most underappreciated aspects of ESO. The HUGE improvements to the bards
Malukah is by far the best bard in the game. I can't think of a case where a song is performed better by another bard.
I prefer the male version of over the seas.

This is what really helped me understand where Elder Scrolls all started.
Songs about the Lore...I NEED THAT IN WoW
RED DIAMOND! RED DIAMOND!

Chim El-Adabal
i misheard the song. Red Dunmer, Red Dumner...
How tho?
How did you hear that???

AWESOME! Thanks for a HQ song!
Still gives me chills, holy fuck
there is a bard in kanarthy's roost (idk how to spell it) who sings this and i fell in love with it ever since
Has anyone made a mod to make Skyrim bards sing ESO songs yet? They may not be relative to the game story but as we all know from real world music, a lot of oldies are goodies. I would love to walk into the winking skeever in Solitude and hear this.
Better than modern music.
God, this song is great!
A song of the god of men by an elf
Impressive
Very good. Touches my 'RPG' -soul
My friend can't stop singing this. It's now our personal meme.
Never played the game but the song is still awesome.
It started out rough and rocky but has become on of the best MMOs out there right now. The game play is smooth and fun and the lore is fantastic.
Ok so lots of people have been complaining about the accuracy of this song. I'm here to help understand why it's fine line by line cuz I'm bored and want to loar.
"When Akatosh slew Lorkhan he ripped his heart right out"
-Unreliable Narrator here mostly. Stories differ. Trinimac or Auri-El. Trinimac is just the most widely accepted story.
"Hurled it across Tamriel, and the heart was heard to shout."
-So this is a big one.
"The laughing heart sprayed blood afar."
-Laughing as if it knew something they didn't know. This was the plan all along, to become the heart of Nirn (important for later).
"A gout on Cyrod fell, and like a dart shot to its mark down in an Alyeid Well."
-The blood, not the heart.
"Magicka fused the Lorkhan blood to crystal red and strong."
-Crystals are important here. Crystals have magical properties as well as symbols of perfection. Magicka is also life. Nothing can live without it. This is why the sun is needed, why vampires drink blood, why plants live off of light. Magicka comes from Aetherius.
"Then wild elves cut and polished it down to Chim-el Adabal."
-Ayleilds used the gem as their stone for their Tower, White-Gold. The Imperial City Myth-Echos the Aurbis with the Tower as Mundus an the Ruby Throne and Nirn. The Diamond is the Stone of the White-Gold Tower constructed by the heartlanders.
"When elves lost Nirn to Man"
-Alessia Rebellion"
"Akatosh gave the stone"
-Why would Akatosh care about it if he ripped it out? It is Him is It is Them. Akatosh the cage and caged by the chest. Lorkhan bound the Dragon. There's a very good reason why the symbol of the Empire is a Dragon in the Diamond. (sit on that a sec)
"To Saint Alesh in token of her right to sit the throne."
-Alessia is the Mother of Nirn, the Heart, and the Heart was gifted to her as her right to be the Mother. Lots of vaginal symbolism here to show her feminine power and motherhood. (seriously, look at the imperial flag in ESO and tell me it's not a vagina).
"Red Diamond! Red Diamond The heart and soul of Men."
-Lorkhan, god of Men. God of Nirn.
"Red Diamond! Red Diamond! Protect us til the end."
-Gifted to protect from daedra.
And like a dart shot too its mark, down in an Ayleid well"- As you say, this is Lorkhan's blood
"Magicka fused the Lorkhan blood to crystal red and strong.

This is a great song my kids love it
When trinimac slew lorkahn he ripped his heart right out. He hurled it across tamriel and the heart was heard to shout... hey it does sound better!
Then again, Trinimac didn't hurl the Heart across Tamriel, that actually was Auri-El/Akatosh. Trinimac ripped out the Heart then gave it to Auri-El. But I suppose replacing Akatosh with Trinimac would be more true, if not completely so.
***** Yeah, Akatosh is formed when Alessia attempt to make imperial pantheon based on similarities of each of the creation-involving aedra pantheon
Akatosh is basically Elven Auri-el + Nordic Shor (Nordic version of Lorkhan) becaming a new myth and then became the in-lore reality
zikiev zicky Minor alteration to what you said. It wasn't Allesia, it was the Selectives.

Poor Lorkhan, thats what he got for messing with The Dragon God of Time, Hail Akatosh!!! Great song interpretation Malukah congrats!!
Except he tricked them, why do you think the Heart laughed at trinimac and auri-el. Also AKATOSH didn't exist at the time, he is the fusion of Shor and Auri-el that was created by the selectives during the middle dawn.
Shor son of Shor lives in Sovngarde, while Ald son of Ald got trapped in time.
@@the_dropbear4392 It's actually wild how far this fanfiction spread
"But when Trinimac and Auriel tried to destroy the Heart of Lorkhan it laughed at them. It said, "This Heart is the heart of the world, for one was made to satisfy the other." So Auriel fastened the thing to an arrow and let it fly long into the sea, where no aspect of the new world may ever find it."
what a song for a game
Eso soundtrack is epic. I love all audio side in this game.
This is such a great fuckn song
All hail Shor!
This song is about the amulet of kings
For the Empire!
1.5 speed is pretty nice
pov: you arrived to Mournhold
I felt it sounded better. Sentence wise when I sang "..he TORE his heart right out.." idk it had a better flow to me. 🤷
Supposedly there is to be three amulets of kings one in Tamriel, Atmora, and Akavir
I love Malukah ^^ ♥

I sung the song with Trinimac instead of Akatosh and it sounded fine…why didn't they write it and have the people sing it like that? It sounds a bit better with Trinimac in the begenning…..
Unreliable Narrator.
Akatosh was directly responsible for the event of Lorkhan's death, i.e. the deeds of the King's Kinght are for the glory of the King
Or both
It's an Imperial hymn, presumably. The Pantheon of the Divines doesn't include Trinimac, because that would be tantamount to the worship of Malacath.
Alexander Silady ARKAY AE TRINIMAC
Alexander Silady Trinimac was originally in the Imperial pantheon but was removed by the Alessian dogs.
r00d XD
wait....this is about the Amulet of Kings?
Yes. The main story of ESO revolves around it.
@@jouzelfeather-pelt7686 oh i know..i finished the main story last week XD i just didn't realize this song was about it xP
Chim-el Adabal is the Amulet of Kings, but the Heart of Lorkhan is the thing powering Dagoth Ur on Red Mountain. Should be 2 different things, right?
+DarkAdonisVyers yes
+Thomas SCHWARZ Oh, reviewing this song, I think that what is meant is that the Heart landed in what is now known as Red Mountain, but the gushing blood fell into an Ayleid well and was crystallized by the magicka into the Amulet of Kings.
DarkAdonisVyers Yes I know .
Are you saying that Lorkhan had planned out even his own physical death and used that to outsmart the Time Dragon?
is this referring to lorkhans heart being the stone used I'm the amulet of kings
It's referring to a drop of blood from Lorkhan's heart fused with magicka being the stone, not the heart itself.
/flute
Ok bodolf arui el is akotosh arui-el is the snowelf name for akatosh ant the trimunal didnt take the heart till they won it from the dwemer
malukah ?
@Bodolf Storm-Blade i have a question... who's trinimac?
He also has ties to Orkay.
Sothas Orkey... where have i heard that before?
Is this Malukah performing?
Yes.
Berzerk Llama how very kind of you. And have a great day too kind sir
Wait so how do the races of men like the divines when they killed their creators
So does this mean the Amulet of Kings is the first Aedric artifact to touch mortal hands?
Well, the eye of Magnus was in Sarthaal during the Merethic Era, but that depends on whether you can call Magnus Aedric.
You'd think Lorkhans final goal would be achieving CHIM, since that would make them real while still retaining their identity, instead of basically zero summing with more positive results.
im not wearing any pants
