No matter how many languages they really can speak, There's no doubt that they have an extraordinary talent in languages by any standards. Their accents and smoothness are amazing even if some of them were gibberbish!!. Thanks for making this video :))) It has reminded me that the brothers were geniuses!!
Oh my gosh - this was so much fun to see! It's great to see this collage of languages and clips. All the different languages spiced up with typical Ylvis gibberish are so entertaining! Thanks so much, Mona Lisa, for making this wonderful video.
Haha, that's absolutely NOT Chinese. They were just pretending they were speaking Chinese. In fact, what the passenger said is also almost non-understandable. But it has no effect on my affection to Ylvis boys. 爱你们!
Where does the Italian scene come from?? I want to see the entire scene....and most of all...I want to understand why Bard is wrapped in the film!!! puahahahah
LOL what a tongue they have! though in 03:47 I think that's gibberish of Persian not Arabic lol so close though. Their accent in Japanese is amazing seriously I'm shocked! especially Vegard wow! let's not forget how shocking he can change his voice tone! and the fact that he's obseesed with geography lol Awesome video thanks I've kinda been waiting for something like that.. their knolladge in this field always amazes me.
Omg i love this ahahhahahah I am italian, and i can say that Vegard speaks very good :D And the "Knifo" was epic ahahahhaah it's "Coltello" :) they are lovely
hahahahahahaha i just laughed my ass off! great video. in that bulgarian/polish part it's bulgarian and russian :) i'm not mean or something, just want you to know! kisses from Poland, Mona Lisa! x
Martyna, do you know what they are saying in the Bulgarian/Russian part in the truck? I'm translating that video right now. I don't speak any Bulgarian/Russian but I get the impression that Vegard and Bård is joking about being Norwegian border control, maybe?
Martyna Bielawska Thank you! I think Bård is just saying "Yes, Passport photos?" after that. Do anybody know the latin/italian part with the sign, is he saying "Credo Dreci" or something else Isn't "Credo" believe or something like that btw?
Thanks for making this! They, and especially Vegard, are so incredibly talented when it comes to languages. So impressive. Do anybody know which languages (except Norwegian, Swedish and English) they actually do know well? I mean like well enough to like spend a week in that country without using any English?
I think Vegard speaks decent French, though I don't think Bård speaks any. They seem to use Spanish often enough in their sketches and they pulled off that call to Paraguay on their talk show pretty well, considering it didn't seem rehearsed. They both lived in Portuguese speaking parts of Africa for a few years in their childhood, but aside from that clip of Vegard singing "Sonho meu" I've never seen them use it. I don't know if this is because of a lack of opportunities to use it or simply because they don't actually speak it. It's possible they learned some when they were young, but due to disuse they lost it and their Spanish took over. It's difficult to tell how well they actually speak their languages though, because most clips are rehearsed and they seem to be very good at accents. A little preparation and a talent for accents can easily fool even natives into thinking you speak a language well. Thanks for this video! Their seeming talent for languages is one of the things that initially got me interested in them(before The Fox), and it's cool to see almost all of the clips of them speaking other languages in one video.
That Finnish tho :''D Seriously though, this is really impressive. If I could have one wish it would be to know every language. I mean, everyone knows at least a word or two of another language, but the brothers are really something else altogether.
Where did you get the German clip from? I'm shocked - to see they've been on a German TV-show, and I never knew! :( I can't find the full clip anywhere, so maybe you could point me in the right direction? Hopefully? :)
***** jaja! :D yo tambien me siento feliz de hablar con alguien que conoce de Ylvis. Yo aqui en Honduras no he conocido a nadie que de verdad sea fan de Ylvis :(

They were interviewed on german television in conjunction with the eurovision song contest when it was held in oslo back in 2010. The clip is from when they were taking the piss of the phone sex adverts running late at night on certain german tv- channels

Quirentia yep you're right, Vegard said 'this is norwegian border controler' but I can't understand what Bard said after that.
Martyna Bielawska

Do anybody know the latin/italian part with the sign, is he saying "Credo Dreci" or something else Isn't "Credo" believe or something like that btw?
yep, i just asked my mom what they're saying cuz i don't know russian that well and she said exactly whan you wrote. no problem :)
2:54 That was mock Mandarin to be exact.
Lucky he was interrupted in the danish video as he was going to say "18" in the way Norwegians say it, rather than in the unintuive danish way.
Thanks for making this! They, and especially Vegard, are so incredibly talented when it comes to languages. So impressive.

Their German was absolutely perfect, too!

Have you upgraded the video? :) Thank you for that
No;) - you're welcome:)
I thought "African English" part had not been included. :)
Mona Lisa I just realised we have forgotten to mention the morse and the sign language :)
Mona Lisa It is your great merit, that I could :)
me quiero aciete? i love myself oil?
They sang: Me quiero del siete!
Krystyna Au
oh, that makes more sense but isn't it still pretty bad grammar?
perhaps, but it can be understood, can't it? :)
I was just asking because I thought I read they were fluent in Spanish but this seems like a very beginner type of mistake.
BigSirZebras They are just joking around, I doubt they really speak any other languages than English and the Scandinavian languages fluently.
