  • Canicross basically means being dragged along by your dog. Of course that's an over-simplified way of putting it and a lot of training goes into it, but its still a lot of stress on the human body! I kept hurting myself with over-use injuries. So I decided to take the summer to experiment with a new method of training. "Maffetone", and eventually "80/20".

VeryNice video! I practice canicross with my mastiff in the wilderness of New Mexico. I got into this sport about a year ago..It is so funny because people on the trail have never even heard of canicross so they look at us like we have three heads! Very Interesting information to think about. Thank You!

Great video! As a road marathoner for the past 5 years, I'm always looking for new tips on motivation, getting stronger and preventing dreaded injuries. This post is very inspirational. As a fellow RUclipsr, I love sharing my experiences and knowledge as well. I just posted an interview with Physiotherapist, Brodie Sharpe all about pain and injury. I know how much goes into these videos! Keep posting - I just subscribed!

Good video. I like Maf. Also. For my plantar, I train barefoot on grass or with minimalist shoes w/wide toe box. Cushy cushy shoes are the devil.

Thank you for this cool video. I'm a longtime long distance runner here in northern Nevada looking to acquire two feathered saluki for running companions and for coursing, maybe agility comps and possibly show. Apparently, you don't have a problem with these two chasing critters? Good running!

Thank you for this lovely video, saluki's are wonderful! I am trying to start up canitrail with my dog, but my knees keep flaring up. The method that you are using sounds promising for me. What is the exact name of it?

Because I overtrain and injure myself otherwise.
