      That's just a "typical" router that's been rebranded from the GL-AX1800 with VPN software(shame on express smh). Vilfo VPN Router worked for me( Its FAST!) as it's CPU is powerful enough to Run a Windows Laptop. I use ExpressVPN & Surfshark. it supports MANY VPN providers right out of box, dummy proof settings, grouping for VPN and non VPN group, allows different VPN Providers or locations on a group basis. downside: you need an access point as even Vilfo says WiFi isn't the best. I use my ISP's router as an access point by just turning off DHCP and using one of its LAN ports then leave VPN decryption to Vilfo 😎.

      It's a rebranded GL.inet Flint. I use one and it works well. I had to put a cooling fan under it.

    There's something called split tunneling you know. Where you have devices that need the VPN and other devices that does not
    That's one of the reasons why I got the Vilfo VPN it also supports many providers instead of just one and has open VPN custom for providers that aren't listed that support OpenVPN. They recently added wireguard support.

      There's also a menu on Netgear routers where you can select from devices that are connected to the network on which to ignore VPN. Firestick and Roku are 2 because you can't watch all your channels. It thinks you're out of home.

      There is nothing you can do to increase your speed on a VPN other than finding the closest server to your current location. I have several videos on how to speed up your router. Let me know if you want me to send you a link.

      @@UltimateTechHub so you are saying it doesn't matter what router you use?.Surely the router's CPU speed matters. Send me those links

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  Год назад

      @@javiermitchell7073 A new router is great for advanced security and for the newer standards like wfif6e or Wi-Fi 7 but the router cpu won't help with your speeds. There are probably 7 or 8 factors that determine internet speed outside of your router. End devices like computers are limited by NICs and the computers hardware. Also ethernet cable type, interference (EMI) and how many devices on your network. The VPN is the bottleneck and there is nothing you can do about it other than turn it off. I have PIA VPN and have very fast speeds 930mbps but I have 1gig fiber so that's a big help.
