@@Noelsterrr Actually it is. You would not have science today without philosophy and yet, modern scientists have no philosophical training or background. They have no relationship to the fundamental questions about human beings, ontology, epistemology or cosmology, just ask a PhD in the sciences and you will see what poor thinkers they are. In short, they no longer grasp the origins or the meanings or the madness behind their own methods. That's a pretty good argument against it.
Direct experience is not the same as perfectly understanding something. It's just feeling. Feeling is how we experience things, it's how we translate experience. But we can and often do get them wrong. It's exactly like when you witness a magic trick. You're seeing a trick. You had direct experience with it. But you are still left with guessing how it happened when you don't practice/learn/study/are told and shown exactly how it happened. You can't trust your own experience, but it is the best we got. Still, take care with how you translate your experience.
