The song was written in 1914. I am proud of our soldiers.🇵🇱
Poles have always been proud of their cavalry. First from heavy horse cavalry called husaria, then from light horse cavalry called ułani. The name husaria comes from the Serbian or Hungarian language, the name ułani from the Tatar language. This song was sung by ułan regiments. It's decent and you can sing it on the street. The ułani also sang songs called żurawiejka, often obscene songs.
"The Uhlans Came to the Window - a Polish military song written in 1914 by Feliks Gwiżdż, who created the lyrics to the folk melody.
Initially, it was called the Song of the Fourth Squadron, from which the later term "fourth squadron" was derived.
The Uhlans Came to the Window gained popularity, being sung first by the uhlans, and then in the interwar (1918-1939) and contemporary times. Currently known in an abbreviated version. "
Żurawiejki will definitely not be sung by these soldiers. “Przybyli ułani” is a decent song, you can sing it on the street.
I've been following you're reactions to Canada and Canadian culture but I was pleasantly surprised that you're reacting to Poland and Polish culture. I'm first generation Canadian-Polish so this is a treat! I adore Poland and have all my family there and have visited many times.

My byliśmy pierwsi jednostka 2646D, Żary, 1982 rok , wiosna , jedna z piosenek zakazanych, chodziliśmy pół godziny przed śniadaniem, chociaż do stołówki mieliśmy 50 metrów.
Po zaczęciu jednej z piosenek zakazanych, chodziliśmy w kółko dwa razy i podejmowaliśmy kolejną z zakazanych. Były to Wojenko, wojenko, o mój rozmarynie,
ułani, ułani i inne z zakazanych w tamtych czasach. W końcu trepy rezygnowały i mogliśmy zjeść śniadanie. Pozdrawiam kolegów z jednostki.
Pięknie i odważnie, bardzo dziękuję Panu i Pana Kolegom żołnierzom Polskim za To śpiewanie. Pozdrawiam serdecznie i dużo Dobra życzę.

Okey the unit on the video is 1st air cav battalion in Leźnica Wielka from 25th air cav brigade, the song name is Przybyli Ułani that should translete to The Uhlans arrived
Maybe make a film about distorting Polish history, especially during World War II. Example What did the ORP Piorun have in common with the Bismark. There are some such examples. The British "like" us very much.

Unfortunately, nowadays Polish soldiers cannot sing old songs like they used to, they just scream their heads off. They try to imitate the American style, but it doesn't work either.
Come and see. :) Slav ... for nordics most easy comperition is - slave. In our leanguege grop it means: honorable, glories , brave. Go back to Husars cavalery. It's a spirit. We are not the largest ethnic group in Europe. Don't write nonsense :) We are not an ethnic group at all, but only a linguistic one, and we also share some of the customs of the ancient Slavs. A special common feature inherited from the Slavs is great cordiality, but apart from that, the "Slavic nations" differ drastically from each other in many basic and key areas, from tradition, religion and mentality, to genes.
A propos genes: the haplogroup associated with the Slavs is in the minority in most Slavic countries. In Russia, it is the least of all "Slavic" nationalities - ethnic Russians have only 34% of this haplogroup in their gene pool (the ethnic Russians' genotype is dominated mainly by Finno-Ugric genes and Tatar genes, i.e. a Mongolian-Turkish mixture). In Ukraine - Slavic haplogroup makes 36% of gene pool of so-called ethnic Ukrainians. The rest of genes is mostly Greek, Tatar, and Jewish.
There are more Slavic genes in the genotype of ethnic Poles, Belarusians and Sorbs in Germany - little bit more than 50%. In Poles, another large group of genes in the gene pool (30%) are Germanic genes, via Germans and Scandinavians. Among the Czechs - Slavic genes are 45%, and German - almost 50%. In Slovaks - I don't know. As for the Balkan Slavs, the Slavic haplogroup constitutes 35-40% of the gene pool, depending on the country/ethnic group - the rest of this pool are Turkish, Romance/Italian, Finno-Ugric, German genes (also depending on the country).
For comparison, the Slavic haplogroup also has almost 40% ethnic Hungarians, 36% ethic Romanians, and over 20% Scandinavians (of which they constitute approximately 30% of the genetic pool of ethnic Danes).

you call it CADENCE. This particular one may be seen as controversial, since they sing of visiting OUR Vilno and Lviv. Cities that are not Polish anymore due to Stalin painting novaday borders. Kind a cute though😊
