I was a Tool & Diemaker for 34 years and used quite a few different brand Die Grinders...I have I-R, B&D, and top of the line Dotson...I even have a few older Harbor Freight when they first came out with sleeve bearings...
The one you have seems to be well made...
Important that you add a few drops of Air Tool Oil in the air inlet before use...
    and
when using stones, its important to touch them up lightly with a 1 x 1 x 6" dressing stone every time you put it in the grinder...because they may be slightly out of round ...and its also used to clean the stone when it get loaded up...and also used to shape the stone...

I got the pro one from harbor freight cost 100$. Actually pretty darn good. Got the finger belt sander too. Year of daily use going strong.

Florida pneumatic makes a great American made die grinder and other air tools. They also are very fair priced. Mac industrial supply is one place to get them.

I've been using Harbor freight die grinders basically forever on a professional scale. And I absolutely find them 100% adequate. They're not amazing, but they definitely get the job done. However, I tried out one of their newer chief brand die grinders and holy s***That thing is on another level. i'd wager It's as good if not better than most premium brands.
The Thing is, my main reason for choosing Harbor freight is You can get a decent quality die grinder for 10 to $15. Which makes them so cheap that they're borderline disposable. They cost less than a circular Saw blade or a band saw blade, or even some drill bits. And that cheap price is what makes them such good tools: even if they don't last as long as a premium You're gonna get a lot more mileage out of $100 worth of Harbor freight die grinders(9) than $100 worth of Chicago Pneumatic die grinders(1). And with the chief ones you're not saving as much money instead of being a tenth the price they're about half the price, still worth it in my opinion, but something to keep in mind.

Lets not forget that a good compressor is key factor.

bodyman buddy of mine still using my early 70's ingersoll-rand die grinder -said last year he took it apart, replaced the bearings and an internal part, just because- ( a friend had run it 30 minutes on the non-oil air-line),
it was working fine when he took it apart, cost of parts was $35.00. kept the old part & bearings 'just in case'. still going strong he said.

Having plenty of experience with die grinders at work and at home, I can tell there is a difference. I have used a few of the ones from harbor land, as well as rural king, and the cheap ones are ok for a few times, but if I were using more than once a week, I would get the better quality one to keep from waiting on the el cheapo version

Die grinder shards are the devil. Makes wood splinters feel like childs play.

Always dribble Marvel Mystery oil in yer air tools. Carbide burrs will dull if you go backwards. Always cut in a forward path. Cornwell makes a great offset handle die grinder. AL B.

I bought a CP860 probably before Chucky was even born at an auto parts store in my hometown and I think I paid $100 for it then? So they're cheaper today than they used to be. It's better than the $10 made in Taiwan die grinders. Is it 10 times better? I don't know. Probably not. But it's a lot better. The CP860 does have a lot of power. I think it's rated at one horsepower. If a disc catches it'll take you for a ride.

But the batteries don’t go bad every other year and cost about half the price of the tool!
Of course you have to have 3 batteries for any real job to make for it…
