Can we just appreciate how empathetic and amazing Damon is? He instantly knew he wasn’t the right partner even though he saw the potential and he gave them an optimistic outlook when Mark shut them down at first.
Mark literally said “if you wanna stay frozen go with bana bagels”. Indicating he knew he wouldn’t be as good of a partner as Lori. Kevin is easily the least empathetic shark! Lol. Also I’ve never heard of her other company so I may have botched it.

What impress me most is that Lori Greiner, who must've had a pretty deep off-screen back and forth with the girl, was willing to go with her flow, plus her "2.5% advisory share" offer is quite ingenious. I've been in these pitching situation quite a times, as a startup founder AND as panelist, I know not all people ready with all the numbers

She negotiated hard but the reality is, it was to no avail. Lori is the real ruthless business woman (clearly), she didn't budge at 15% at all, 2.5% advisory shares is basically the same as regular shares.
michelle is honestly one of the best contestents ever on the show. she knew the worth and held her ground.

Here’s the trick… rolls switch when you’re at home. Lol. My husband doesn’t talk in public and my friends and family always tell me “you don’t know a stranger”. People initially say “you must talk his ear off at home” then they hear us on the phone and he is going on and on… when we’re home, he is the one who is talking all the time lol.

What a great negotiation and also nice to see how well the husband and wife worked together in this pitch. Both stuck to what they knew. The husband seems like the brains behind the foodproduct and the wife seems like the brains behind the business. Both complimenting each other in this venture.

Once Lori made the offer, the husband was like: "Look, I'm just the cook." He was balsy and wise to let his wife hammer the details.

I just watched this episode and went out and bought some at a local Kroger. These things are amazing for a freezer section item. Definitely the best pizza item you can buy, and honestly, if someone told me they were home made, I would have completely believed it. They're the real deal!
It is very uplifting to see a couple working so well together with their own different strengths and without overpowering each.

I’ve watched a lot of shark tank and that woman has to be one of the sharpest people I’ve seen. You can tell the husband really knows how to get down in the kitchen though. They both seem really chill and down to Earth. I hope they both go far in life.

Michelle was incredible negotiating with Lori at the end. She absolutely killed it. Knew all of her numbers right off the top of her head, a quick speaker, that was great to watch.
Lauri is very sweet. Always very graceful. She doesn’t get angry when someone doesn’t take her offer right away. She’s secure in who she is and what she can offer and is not bothered when someone may be hesitant to accept. That is real confidence . A lot of people think that being mean and rude is a sign of confidence but it’s really just pride and arrogance. I would love to work with Lauri and learn from her.
It does happen though, if she isn't a fan of the person.
Lori's face when Michelle made her last counter-offer showed that she was really impressed with Michelle's preparation for the show as well as her negotiating skills. Lori DEFINITELY fought to hold back the smile. She invested not only in the Pizza CupCake idea, but also in Michelle as a person. Her drive/determination is visible. Her husband, Andrea, seems to be very intelligent, as well, and passionate. Was very cool to see this interaction. I hope things go well.

This is one of the most impressive Shark Tank Episodes I've come across. She will make an amazing CEO one day. She didn't get what she wanted but she negotiated and knew her stuff. Yes the cup cakes are a tad expensive but its also about knowing your value. Things are cheaper because of cheaper ingredients. So many products on the shelf have sugar, corn and palm oil fillers.

Ok, probably the best pitch on Shark Tank, I'm soooo glad she stuck to her guns. She is super impressive & inspiring. The energy in the room when she brought up the evaluation of the bagel company, and her counteroffer with the advisory shares at the end. respect.

Whenever the business owners are given deals by the sharks, I always think “take the deal”! This is the first time that I look to Lori and go “take the deal Lori!” Michelle knocked it right out of the park with her negotiating skills, and I wish nothing but success in her and her husband’s future!
Both of these two are perfect for each other, he makes a great product and she knows the business-side and her naming it the cupcake pizza is ingenious.

I'm an entrepreneur too and if I got a wife that can negotiate like that, I would have felt I hit the jackpot. That guy is lucky. And even though she didn't invent the product, she definitely is earning her place in the company. She knew all her numbers. Amazing!

You can Michelle was really respectful when she asked so politely if she could make a 4th counter offer. "Can I make one more counter offer?"...That's probably what sold it because you know you can work with Michelle when she is respectful. You can tell Lori really liked Michelle because of her demeanor. It wasn't boastful, conceited, etc. Michelle was really knowledgeable and very polite.

Asking permission for the last counter offer and then coming in with an advisory share component is an absolutely perfect final move in this deal. Wow!!
What is the difference between offering a straight 15% versus 12.5% and a further 2.5% advisory share component? Doesn't that still add up to 15 per cent? I don't understand the difference.
@@almac9203 Yes, it's the same deal in the sense that the same amount of money changes hands for the same percentage of the company. However, the important thing is that the 2.5% advisory shares is not factored into the company's valuation. So in the former deal the sharks and the entrepreneurs agree that the company is worth 833k, whereas in the latter deal they agree that the company is worth one million. It's an optics thing. Michelle wanted to walk out of the show saying that they have a million-dollar company, which could be useful for marketing, attracting other investors, etc. Smart move, I think.
