Gayle I am so taken with this new woodland journal. I live in a forest in northern Ontario Canada and looking at these exquisite papers is so comforting to me. The solace and company of these animals and more, together with the old growth forest, is what keeps me sane and grounded. The natural world is my home. Thank you for sharing this project with us. This is even more wonderful than I expected. It will be perfect for my friend, who was with the forestry service for years. My Stamperia Forest is being delivered today from Amazon, and I will be printing the Woodland kit as soon as I am finished with this message. The tags and pockets are precious, and add so much to the personality of the journal. Thank you for showing me a way to add beauty and joy to my friend's day. I am on my own with this one, but I also plan to make a TN with a fish theme for her husband, who was a fish doctor. I will probably be using that Stamperia page with fish slightly differently than you did! 😂 You are a constant inspiration, and I have grown so much as a journal artist because of you. I love gifting my friends with personal items, and you have spread joy to so many people you don't know by guiding me on my journey. Thank you. Keep playing! It's fun to play along.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had trouble using the envelope punch board! But this is how we learn. You forgot to punch after you scored your lines, which would have meant your score lines met up and you wouldn't have had to cut with your scissors. It took me about 4 attempts to figure that out, even with the instructions! I do believe sometimes the tools we use make our lives more difficult lol
This is beautiful paper from Stamperia & the MMM kit. I've been building a stash for a Woodland journal for all the memories of many camping adventures we had! I once even nearly walked on top of a wild boar when we were at the Grand Canyon. He blended in w/ the scrub so perfectly that I never saw him until I was right there. Talk about a near heart attack when I realized what I almost had done!! I was very lucky that he didn't attack me... they can be very dangerous. So, if you don't use the "piggy", I'll take him!! The papers are so beautiful, it almost feels like walking in the woods as you turn the pages. Thank for taking us along as you put the journal together. I know it slows the process down. I appreciate seeing the thought process of the journal completion.

Gayle, The Woodland Journal is my favorite by far that you’ve done so far. I absolutely love anything to do with nature and animals. I like the scrapbooking papers but MMM digital kit is awesome. I love your videos. You forgot to punch the paper when making your envelope. The button in the middle cuts out the triangle to finish off the envelope. You have created another beautiful journal. Enjoy your choices in combining pages for your signatures.
Howdy - just wanted to chime in on the envelope - the snippets you scissor cut out are the parts that the punch board punches for ya - ;)

Hi Gayle! Thank you for the great video to watch this evening! I really enjoyed it very much! I really like the woven pockets and woven tags a lot. It is cool that the kit had the small tickets in it for you to use to decorate with too. They are going to look great on your pages of the lovely Midwest Woodland Journal. The images of all the animals look so wonderful!! Well I'm sorry to say it but ... maybe not so much the wild boar. I just find it hard to say that a wild boar looks pretty, but that might just be me! Do I sound bad now? I do love the images of all the rest of the animals tho! What do you think Gayle? Do you think you will use the wild boars image in your Woodlands journal? Just wondering... I am looking forward to seeing this journal come together completely. I think it is going to be a great one!

10:00 Hi! I have one of these as well. I believe you were supposed to punch out the little triangles as you score each side. That way, you don't have to manually cut them out. (There need to be triangles or the envelope won't fold properly). You can also round each corner up at the top in the other direction by using that same button to punch them out. I think there are a few tutorials on YT if anyone is reading this and is confused by how I'm explaining it. I'm sure you can figure it out, as I think it's pretty intuitive. I hope that's helpful! ❤️
Yay! I already have this paper pad and these digitals. I get to craft along! When I use the Stamperia die cuts i peel a couple of layers off the back to make them flatter. It comes off relatively easy

oh wow, Gayle, I'm so impressed that you know how to work with the envelope punch board! I have never ever got that thing to do what I want, and I've put it at the bottom of a drawer and never looked at it again! It's been sitting there for almost a year now, I think. After this video I'll give it another go 😊💕
We have to use our stuff! 😃 Don’t forget to punch as you score so that it’s ready to fold when you’re done. Easy to forget.

If you hear a lot of honking from 5 or 9 trucks and caravans and hoots and hollers that will be my #2 son and the movie crew passing thru (I gave him your address) he knew with Covid he’d not be able to do hi and hugs but he could HONK. He tells his friends his mom has friends in every town so he has to mind his table manners. Hey, whatever works!!! He’s 46 and that still works!!! 😂👍💕😎

Good Morning Gayle, I finished my 1st journal about 6 months ago which was woodland themed. Part was made with the Stamperia kit purchased on Amazon. I did not realize when I bought it was Stamperia International. It is the same kit but words within the kit were different languages. Just a heads up for others if considering using Amazon to read the description. I didn’t mind it wasn’t all in English, in fact it was kind of fun translating. Thanks for another great video! 💕
Good morning Gayle. I completed 14 of the squares from Scrappy Saturday. It took many hours but I had fun. I love the paper you used on the cover. You forgot to use the punch on the envelope punch board, but your envelope turned out great anyway. I have a hard time with that thing every time I use it. I checked out the digital from Mixed Media Minnesota and have it in my basket . I was born and lived in Northern Ontario for 32 years.(until I moved to British Columbia.) Our wildlife there is the same as Minnesota as they are directly north of them. This journal is going to be beautiful. Take care and be safe. Hugs.

Hi Gayle! I have a hint for how to make a tight square knot when your third hand (so useful in keeping the knot from getting loose) has gone to lunch. As you make the first half of the knot, wrap the string around a second time before pulling it taut. That will keep the first half of the knot tight as you tie the second half. (Hope that makes sense. 🤣) Many, many hours of tying ribbon around packages can actually teach you something useful. 🤣😁🥰
