Good on you mate, when a physical emergency is happening the police would call it an emergency but when someone with mental conditions are at threat no one gives a flying f**k.

This is huge! You might have prevented a tragedy. I'm so glad you knew not to ask leading questions. And you DID get the Police to take you seriously. How would she have gotten home otherwise?
People don't seem to consider that one day, THEY could be in need of such help. There but for the grace of God we all go. ❤️🙏🏼💯🌺🌻

Yes it could of been a difficult situation
And yes the call to the police could of been better
But as I say I don’t know what her previous call was
It’s one of those situations where we as the driver have to take charge and assume full authority
We are responsible for the safety of our passengers which is why most of our decisions are made even if those decisions annoy people sometime
      It’s always safety first
      Thankfully this situation ended well

Ahh i hate the hybrids... especially when you going uphill or in busy roundabouts..300's are good but shame that they are limited to 42 mph

I had a similar situation a few years ago. The police arrived quite quickly, immediately recognized the elderly lady (apparently this was not her first disappearance) and took her off the bus with some slight difficulties.
The dispatcher was not happy that I decided to wait for the police at the terminus (he had to send a substitute bus and it was delayed and there's always a shortage of spare buses etc), but I think it was much safer this way.
On a side note: I like these route visualisations, espacially when the bus goes breakdance like at 4:37 - it's not something you see in real life. ;)

      Thank you
      Our controller had no problem
      Safety is always first
As for the break dancing you’ve obviously not been on some of our buses 🤣
