I had a similar situation a few years ago. The police arrived quite quickly, immediately recognized the elderly lady (apparently this was not her first disappearance) and took her off the bus with some slight difficulties. The dispatcher was not happy that I decided to wait for the police at the terminus (he had to send a substitute bus and it was delayed and there's always a shortage of spare buses etc), but I think it was much safer this way. On a side note: I like these route visualisations, espacially when the bus goes breakdance like at 4:37 - it's not something you see in real life. ;)

This is huge! You might have prevented a tragedy. I'm so glad you knew not to ask leading questions. And you DID get the Police to take you seriously. How would she have gotten home otherwise? People don't seem to consider that one day, THEY could be in need of such help. There but for the grace of God we all go. ❤️🙏🏼💯🌺🌻

Ahh i hate the hybrids... especially when you going uphill or in busy roundabouts..300's are good but shame that they are limited to 42 mph

Great upload as always Darren! Despite living along the route, as I always get off earlier I never realised that the 'Woodingdean - Ovingdean' 2s actually went off down into the village still in service! I'd always assumed it was just an early termination as you came out of Cowley Drive and was called that as you're basically facing Ovingdean at that point. Still I suppose it's useful to have the full-legnth journey more frequently in the evenings now! The new 1x is a real hit with everyone I know by the way, the pink poles are especially useful as it clears up any confusion over which stops are/aren't served (hopefully!).

How can you drive 5.5 hour's, yet when I worked in retail, 3.45 hours then must take a break, does driving empty count, not in service 🤔 dunno then drive back to wherever 🙋, great channel 👌

Considering doing Arriva or one of Stagecoaches trainee programs after manu year in logistics. I'm only 28, in your opinion as a bus driver would you say I could make a full career out of it. Driverless buses concern me as I don't really want to be out of a job in ten years. 😂

Fancy that! Zero! 😊 I love it. Hey, do you guys have "School Bus Races" in the UK? Here, across the Pond, there are small trace tracks made of dirt, and decommissioned (bright yellow) School Buses race around this very short racetrack, and even cross over and do figure eights across the track!!! It kicks up a lot of dirt that floats up and lands on the spectators food, like a light "salting" of dirt. And they have drinks, usually cans of Beer, or some sort of other drink, and the people put their thumb over the opening in the can!! So mud tastes pretty good on a slice of Pizza, but not so much in your drink! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though ... do you guys have that in the UK? Anyway, rock on Bus Driver Photographer! I like your stuff.
