🇭🇷 It’d been my dream to sail in Croatia since I obtained my skipper licence. This year after receiving my IYT Course which will be published this winter as well, We planned to visit Croatia.
After Discovering Dubrovnik, We are now heading to Split.

We take the Bus from Dubrovnik to Split. We expected the journey would take around 4 hours. However The Bus stops quite often also in the City of Makarska we changed the bus. It cost us about 6 hours to drive. Bus is passing by Metkovic, Ploce Makarska and Split before it arrives in Zagreb.
To get to the Coach Station We used ‪@Uber‬ . Instead of Libertas Bus that goes to Coach Station I couldn't record it but one of the Taxies that I stopped on the road didn't wanna take us there. Since it was a short distance. like we suffer in Istanbul. Uber Driver was not that Talkative but at least he came and saved us. It was good to know that you can pay cash on the spot to get the city bus in Dubrovnik. I was asking myself "Can you pay cash in Dubrovnik City Bus ? " And I received the answer from the uncle.
I booked the ticket directly from the Coach Station ! However it can be booked online.

The Company called ➤ www.promet-makarska.hr/ From their website you can book your ticket ! Can see the details nd the duration. So it will be a better call to book this ticket online. But since I didn't know the company, We only knew ‪@FlixbusDe‬
Beside these stations. As if it’s a city bus, People can get on and get off along the road as well. In Turkey Inter-City Busses don’t do that so we didn’t know the bus, stops along the road. This is one of the main reasons of the long journey.
Instead of Bus one can take ferry from Dubrovnik to Split . So Bus From Dubrovnik to Split is not the only option ! The company called Jadrolinija.
We will see Jadrolinija Ferries during our Sailing week from Split. You can easily check the prices and availability on their website

But the price per passenger was 47 Euros and It also does the Island Hopping. In this case we don’t talk about a direct ferry line by Jadrolinija. The Ferry departs from Dubrovnik, pass by KORČULA - HVAR - BOL- and arrives Split. Scheduled Journey is 6 hours. But as you can imagine sea journeys are heavily depended on sea conditions.
For being more expensive and having the same duration. (We were expecting lesser duration by bus) We choose Promet Makarska Bus from Dubrovnik to Split.
Our main aim to go to Split to Start our Sailing Week in Croatia ! There were many companies that offer cabin charter. Cabin Charter Croatia is a popular option like Go Sail Croatia. Sail Croatia Join the Crew, Yacht Week Croatia. We will explore these options later on !
We arrived to Split Bus Station around 6:00 PM Indeed it was a tiring journey ! If you ask me ? Would you take Bus from Dubrovnik to Split or Ferry from Dubrovnik to Split. Probably I’d prefer Ferry ride since it has more rooms to roam around. I hope one day I’ll be able to experience Jadrolinija Ferries during our Sailing week from Zadar !?
At the end of the episode you will notice that my mood is pretty down because I left my ‪@Apple‬ MacBook in the Bus! But thanks to "Find My Iphone" app was activated and I could track it ! It went all the way to Zagreb AND RETURNED. I tried real hard to get it back. I'll explain How I got my computer back in the Next Episode !
