    Maharishi Mahesh Yogi commented, "When life leaves the body, it is the breath leaving, like transcending. For one who has been accustomed to this experience for many years, the transition is easy, painless, and blissful, not catastrophic. Dropping the body is like letting a bird out of its cage.”

    Blue velvet is one of my favorite movies. If it's so peaceful why do you need so much peer pressure. I don't think that the negative things leave, rather, I think you're turning a deliberate 'blind eye' to them. You begin to turn a blind eye to a lot of the world and I don't believe that is healthy.

    The problem with TM is that you have to pay a whole lot of money to get "the mantra". Why do people have to pay "teacher" to get a mantra? It's like going to church and paying to hear the "word of god". If meditating makes you such a good person, give the mantras for free.

    • @HOUSEOFHER0
      @HOUSEOFHER0 10 часов назад +1

      Exactly. I'm all for meditation and its benefits, and I think David Lynch was a true artist and wonderful human being, but paying thousands of dollars for a TM mantra always seemed a little suspect. I did a deep dive researching TM at one point because of David Lynch and got the impression that it is the Scientology of meditation.

    • @changingworld7467
      @changingworld7467 9 часов назад

      Huh? As a veteran who has seen thousands of lives saved by TM, the cost of it is minimal. You pay more for a new couch or a TV! And TM is a lifetime program of benefits! For TM teachers to be available there needs to be a course fee. How else would it work? It is like saying doctors and nurses are good for us, so they should work for free!?! It does not make sense.

You, however, lean in on the negative. Having a negative mindset leads to an unhappy life. He was beloved by millions. Not many can say that in a lifetime.

    Lynch might have had some skill as a film artist but the themes of most of his movies and TV shows were twisted and perverted, in my opinion. I mean do you all think that "Blue Velvet" and "Wild at Heart" came from a normal mind? People liked him because he draped his warped mind in pretty images. I think of the Dennis Hopper character in "Velvet" and the Willem Dafoe character in "Heart" and I think of what kind of mind created them. Both those characters were cruel and sadistic -- and sexually perverted in particular. Lynch came along at a time when Hollywood would let you do anything you wanted as long as it looked "artistic." His movies were pretty, yes, but his characters were very disturbing!!!!
