Had the pleasure of seeing these guys live 3 times in the UK and even once getting to meet them... I was fully fan-girling and managed to get a picture with them before the gig they are awesome live looking forward to them coming back to the UK soon x

A lot of that is done with the throat I highly doubt he is just biting for those effects.
This is growling, it probably hurts his throat more than his teeth
Prob using thick af reeds. I used to play on 4.5 or harder back in the day if I wanted more a “bite”

One time I was on some fun stuff in Telluride (a hippie mountain town in Colorado) watching Michael Franti at this festival, and out of nowhere he went into this song during a solo, lights started going off, and a bunch of hippies started jumping around like a rock concert. Pretty epic moment.
