    Three different runs this week to test your mental endurance. Last week was Park running; this week is coastal week. You should be proud of your achievements to date!
    Week 6D2: todays run is set at Neilson Park Beach heading to Mon Repos Beach, Queensland.
    Warm up: brisk 5-minute walking.
    Activity: 2 * 10 minute easy paced running with
    3 minutes of recovery walking in between
    Cool Down: easy 5-minute walking

    Hi, I'm Michael. I'm an average runner (in his mid 50s) that has had many injuries and illness that have forced me to recommence my fitness journey; sometimes years later! I’ve made these videos as I have completed many C25K runs during my last two rehabilitations using the treadmill or elliptical.
    ** IMPORTANT POINTS ***
    The RUNNING PHASES throughout the entire program are at an EASY PACE. If you finish each repetition out of breath and don’t believe you can carry on you are running too fast. Initially it may be just over a walking pace.
    The RECOVERY WALKS are just that; they are the periods to rest before the next repetition.
    Treadmill setting: set the incline to 1% from day one to closer equate to outdoor running.

      Emma, I’m glad you’re enjoying the series and it is helping on your running journey. You’re up to week 6, coastal week. Mon Repos is one of my favorite places to run. It is unusual for kangaroos (@ 7:00min) to remain still when you’re that close. From memory I completed that run in the late afternoon and it was still extremely hot! That was a hard day to run!
      Word is slowly spreading about the series to help more out. Thanks for taking time to comment.

    Run 2 down. Definitely a mental thing…second set of ten minutes I got sketchy but did a form-check and distracted my mind for a minute…all good! ☀️💚

      Great to hear you’re working through the week successfully, congratulations. You’re doing great, remaining in the easy zone and checking for form. Yesterday I was having the same issues; I wanted to stop after 6-7 minutes (just a bad day) but checked my form and breathing and said no every time. I returned to training 3 weeks ago.
      NB sorry for the delay in replying. Our internet stopped following a storm 3 weeks ago and mobile data is also unreliable where we are.
