Dustin, I just found your channel after I serviced the powertrain on my 2017 Silverado. I wasn’t looking up videos on how to do it, so once again I’m suspicious that our phones are watching us!
I pieced together a full craftsman set for my daughter on eBay last year. I bought half inch drive sockets, both deep and regular for $35 and $20 respectively. I also bought some brand new screwdrivers and nut drivers. I do the same as you for my daughter and sons’ tool boxes. I also use the Scotch Brite pads for all metal cleaning. You can also use your bench grinder and polish up the tools as well.

My favorite is finding old Proto, SK Wayne, kraeuter, Stanley, ridgid and craftsman. They're way cheaper and just as high quality as the fancy brands, when made in USA obviously. I do love my snap on tho, got a 80s rolling cart and a carry box with a couple miscellaneous tools I either inherited or found at swap meets or on eBay, just gotta take your time and wait for the best deals. I definitely prefer the smaller brands tho my whole garage will be filled with 40s-60s craftsman someday I already have a drill press and a table saw, just gotta keep finding good deals for em!

yep, ballistol is amazing. I use it on all my tools, not just for cleaning and helping keep them rust-free, but also to make those joints silky smooth.
