Dubai International Airport is shutting down! Yes you heard that right. Soon, the airport will cease operations, and all air travel will be transferred to the new venue. In a bold move to expand and modernize its aviation industry, Dubai has begun construction on a $35 billion massive new airport which is slated to become the world’s biggest airport upon completion. The new airport will feature five parallel runways and 400 aircraft gates, and it will be capable of handling more than 260 million passengers annually, along with 12 million tons of freight. Not just that, the airport will be the heart of a new megacity that is already taking shape, promising to house 1 million people in the near future.

Middle of the desert the heat is unbearable there. It’s mostly just large buildings with no wind and an astonishing display of surf like society.
Al Maktoum International Airport already exist and it is operational, they are expanding it and adding new terminals.

No they will not. The flight path goes over the desert on the East side and the industrial zone of Jebel Ali on the West side. There are no housing units under the flight path. That is why they selected this location. The current one DXB yes, the new one DWC no.
The current location lands and takes off over residential and tourist areas
No planes aren't allowed to fly over downtown because the airspace is restricted to protect the burj khakifa

the existing DXB can be repurposed to cater to high end private aviation . . . at the same time DXB infrastructure could also serve as the world's largest MRO hub for commercial aircraft including Emirates upcoming MRO Engineering Centre . . . 14 large MRO hangars big enough to accommodate & carry out scheduled maintenance jobs on 11 A380-800 wide body quad jets simultaneously . . . rebuilt existing runways incorporating additional runway extension to the overall length of the runway . . . individual runway section will be made out of reinforced durable concrete with built-in iron rebar frame for superior structural integrity . . . topped with multiple layers of highly durable asphalt . . . DXB could also serve as a highly secure dedicated airport for visiting heads of state from across the world . . . as a hub for air shows surpassing Farnborough or Paris Air Show . . .

this country needs to look crazy due to tourists contributing alot to the GDP.
Think about it as an investment, the fact that you even clicked on this video is probably due to "World’s Largest Mega Airport", you however disliked it but most people get intrigued thus increasing the chance for them to travel there.
Also the old Airport is veryy big the problem is the location, due to it being in middle of dubai it creates alot of traffic around it.
If you gonna make a new airport from ground up why not future proof it as well ? Since the old airport was already one of the biggest airports in the world it makes sense for the upgrade to be the biggest one.
Lastly try not to be ignorant I know it is very easy to say "they are nuts", "who will use them" but if you gonna say something at least have the knowledge to back it up

In Arabia and the UAE is in Arabia they call it the Arabian Gulf, Persian Gulf is how it is known in other places. 2 names, but any UAE map will show it as Arabian gulf.
You may call it whatever you want. To us in the Arab world it is the Arabian Gulf.
