I legitimately think the 22-35 torb actually won the game. Obviously the team still worked together well and they all won but its just the fact that on attack as sym they placed that life saving wall on overtime which turned a team fight from a sure loss into one they barely held on and recoopered from. And even as torb on defense they were ALSO the one who ulted and killed ALL 3 PEOPLE on point, ram, zen, kiri thus ending their overtime and winning the game. Not only did they make a game winning move but also a game saving play in one match WHILE ALSO being 22-35 what a goat

Genuinely good on that Torb for sticking through and contributing through the game. There’s so many people, especially in middle and lower ranks, who would have just left the game. It’s extremely frustrating to get spawn camped like that and feel like you can’t do anything about it whether because you’re not quick enough in reacting to it or your team isn’t falling back to help you. But they fought to the end and I respect it so much.
when the intro message talks about how could they have lost the game when they had x kills and x damage you just know its going to be one of the games of all time
stat board is great but you need context. generally good kd is a good sign. but you're obviously expecting more dps out of a baston vs a sombra. in this case they weren't having pushing issues. because the sombra and torb were both away from the fight there wasn't a moment of needing torb to be in the team fight. similar stuff happens with healing numbers. if they are low and everyone is falling over there needs to be a refocus to push some more healing out. but if you're just rolling or having good cover or they have an inherent lower dps comp it isn't a sign for a refocus. this is why it's important to not just look at the stats but compare them to the previous time you checked and what happened. are you falling over? well if they're healing less now that's why, if they're healing the same or more it's because you you need to position better. this is some basic stuff but it is how you best use the information on that board and in what sort of ways it's important
This reminds me of my very first comp game i ever played. I was trying to play bastion but the entire game i was spawn camped by sombra and I was so frustrated. I called it out to my team and then they said the exact same thing as you did, "You're dying but we're winning this game!" It made me feel appreciated even when I felt i couldn't contribute to the team in any way. That's one reason i keep pushing to try to improve at this game! Thanks for the awesome videos.
ive had a game where two people would go out of their way to hold me hostage, spawn camping me. so instead of getting upset and yelling at my team i was just intentionally wasting their time so we won. i COULD'VE went sombra and snuck past them, or just, like, tryharded and killed them, or asked my team for assistance but if they are going to commit a third of their team to camp me, im actually willing to indulge and make it look like they are camping me and intentionally let them win while im "incapable" of killing either of them. we won btw. dunno why they did it, guess they thought i would get tilted. my team eventually was like "are you okay back there" but i was just like "just let them do it and win the 3v4" they didn't even try to help their team. it was a weird move.
this is why sombra's invis needs a massive nerf, after she shoots or is shot it should be 3-5 seconds before she goes invis and you should be able to see/hear her from further away. theres nothing that torb could have done and sombra knows that. its sickening that they let her be this broken for so long
I'm a sombra/venture main, and that dude threw the entire game. Spawn camping doesn't actually work at all. There is a reason why the rewoek for sombra was to make her engage a lot more in battles. Spawn camp is mostly a waste of time because your team is still fighting a 4v4. That doesnt bring any value. Julio was the mvp, i was so happy every time the dude got that sombra. Julio carried the match

As a sombra player I do figure out pretty quick who is the easy target based on reaction times and they become the default target when I am not doing other things. That being said spawn camping that hard is almost never the play cause your team needs you to pump dps passive into other tank and emp the cart not enemy spawn. Go get the spawn kill then run back to team dont sit there like this one did.
When people come to me spouting stats I just send them to a bastionmain video where there was a tracer who was like 41-1 for KD, and the enemy team overall was just way better stats wise but bastionmain's team won. Bastionmain has definitely fallen to brainrot but that video is a good example of how stats mean fuck all most of the time.
Classic case of numbers don't mean much in Overwatch 2 because that person getting deleted had some major plays in this game. Without them, they lose for sure.

After placements for new players. They usually get put into high gold or plat somewhere in there. In open queue I've finally made it to plat 5 however more or less 50% of the time you get rolled or do the rolling because of it. Its annoying also people leave more frequently. Im on console btw.
Classic sombra gameplay: 'Lets ruin the game for this one person and lose the game for my team by never actually doing anything useful for them. ' Sombra mains just turn the 5v5 into 4v4 90% of the time. Horrible character for the health of the game.

had a game where we couldn’t even get to 1st point, enemies already had 20-30 kills. we ended up WINNING because their supports got cocky ig and threw by trying to spawn camp 😭😭 in the end the enemies had around 30-40 kills and my teams max was like 10 LMAO
That Sombra threw pretty hard there. Must've been either the Sombra intentionally trolling or a personal beef between the players. Either way I'd definitely report them if they were on my team

Damage have trash damage, heal have trash heal, and here you go, elimination also have trash elimination. At least for Sombra, it never really trash because your ult is pretty strong. But for widow, when you have trash elimination, it literally trash because widow ult is pretty weak.

If you die more than 10 times during the game you are almost definitely the reason for the team losing the game lol. I am a shitty Plat 2 player and even I rarely die more than 5 times a game even on Ana. Staying alive is the first step to winning games. If you die it is basically 30 seconds of you not helping the team...if you die once a minute you spent half the game being absolutely useless.
I'll admit, I'm garbo noob trash in this game, but like I'd have to imagine that this would have to depend on at least a few variables. Wouldn't a game have way more death counts in something like a super close push game or payload with overtime?
