Gemini wasn't just being spawned camp but being used as a purposeful ult battery. Notice how the ball and sombra only ever went back to point and fought when they got their ults
It’s legit bullying at this point. I play a ton of Sombra and I do spawn camp but I cap it at two and if it’s more it’s punishing a toxic person by keeping them busy

Sombra and Hammond both smurfing. I've seen these duo's on different names doing the same thing they do just to ruin bronze/silver and gold games on purpose.
I see where you're coming from and it's just a game, but the behavior those two smurfs showed is disgusting. It's just a game, so go help your damn mate who's being spawn camped exclusively to help them. Saying not helping would be the "right" decision left a bad taste in my mouth. You might win the game, but is that worth it to let someone feel miserable to be camped like that AND feel like no one on your team gives a shit. This is the exact opposite of what gaming is supposed to be.

@@musicneverdies8441 Well if 4vs3 can't win with ease it means they can't even help gemini...sad but true. Those 2 are smurfs and it's hard as a healer vs a sombra and hammond. As a support you need to make 3 direct shots on Sombra. Not happening in Bronze unless you are smurfing. To kill Hammond as a support takes at least 10 shots, cuz he heals and can just boop you making u miss.

ngl it's very obvious that the spawn campers are smurfs. the moment I heard the words 'spawncamped by sombra and hammie' I was like 'oh. they're not bronze players' because as a bronze player, we don't play like that. we don't go to the enemy spawn. the enemy spawn may as well not exist, frankly. we have more important things to do, like take never-ending teamfights.
You can also always tell by the attack phase too. Notice how they went counters to get through the fights
Yeah I was gonna say isn’t it super obvious that they’re smurfing on some bronzies and their intention is to drag the game out as long as possible, inflict as much suffering as possible on one person, and ultimately lose the game so they can continue doing it?
When you watch their attacks when they actually try and they stay on the cart, bubble bastion combo with zarya, etc, pushing it the entire map on overtime, it’s crystal clear that they don’t actually care about ranking up, cause they would’ve just done that the whole time. Weird that emongg didn’t say anything about it
@cashinowt agreed. Folks like these who purposely bully and spawn camp and do other such nonsense need to chill and go outside once in a while. As one person commented, it is unfun, especially if the person is brand new, and just makes you not want to play the game, which ruins it. I suppose one can report them, but who knows how quickly they can get a ban etc. It would be deserved if they did get one though.

Hey, this is embarrassing but that's me. But thank you Emongg for reviewing this game even if it's not the most conventional spectating video you usually do, I appreciate your feedback. To be honest, I've been too nervous to do comp lately due to getting games like this but I hope when I'm more confident/skilled I can try again. With that said, even though it was advisable to not help my fellow support, I still feel bad in doing so. However I know for sure it wouldn't have helped much.
For context, I had that same spawncamping duo just before this match as my teammates and they did the same thing to the enemy Genji (who is actually the enemy Baptiste in this video!), completely ignoring everyone else (including a Mercy who is arguably an easier target) the whole match (this was on Esperanca). As for GeminiKitten, they sure were furious in chat and they thought the duo was cheating as well but I suspected they were smurfing which is what chat/YT comments are saying. Coincidentally, Gemini was also in the Esperanca game but as a tank on the enemy team and they seemed oblivious to their poor Genji which is very like Bronze - everyone is in their own world. I try to be more attentive than most but I'm still very new to OW and it still overwhelms me a lot but I hope it gets better with time. I know I suck and wish I had carried the match better for my team (especially Gemini) though I did also feel bad for the enemy team since I was in their position a match before. So sorry for my ineptness in general. Thank you for coming to my long-ranting TedTalk. Wish everyone playing comp more luck than me and tons of positive SR!
No, I think you played that really well. You basically had to carry the support side and you did that very well. It wasn’t Gemini’s fault they were in spawn the whole match, but you managed to make a tough decision that allowed you an easy win!
Don't be too hard on yourself, the game can be pretty fast paced. When there's a lot happening I find it hard to pick what to do sometimes as well, but that's just part of learning. You'll find your own play style eventually.

Not even done watching the first round, and already that ball and sombra are 100% a duo smurfing in bronze. They run to enemy spawn and spawn camp 1 player in pqrticular, dont give a damn about the objective, and then ONLY go back to the point in the last 30 seconds in order to carry their team and cap the point, then rinse and repeat. Those players need to be banned

Because bronze players don't know better. And yes, they could get better, but some just can't or don't want to, not everyone got that mindset, that's why they are in bronze and that is fine, if they stay true to their own motives.

I think that Lifeweaver pull at 6:00 might've been Gemini's desperate attempt to get Venture's attention to help him get out of spawn. Weaver knew they were going to be dove again, the team wasn't helping, so it might've been a pull of "get back here and help me!!"
Or it was an accidental pull which is entirely possible too after seeing the Ana plays earlier...
I think the Lifeweaver was just pissed and trolling his team at that point. Note how he stood completely still after he pulled the Venture. He's just having a fit because his entire team isn't giving up space to serve as his escort.

This sombra and ball have been doing this for the past few seasons in bronze lobbies. I’ve ran into them a bunch before I moved out of bronze. I at least recognize those two names but when I ran into them it was a whole team that were consistently together.
They specifically pick one person and just torture them the whole game. It’s not always support.

I also ran into them twice, one when they were on the enemy team (fortunately i wasnt the one who they were focusing) and i had them on my team on the next round. Obviously we lost :/ i honestly thought they wouldve been banned at this point

@@claudiuspulcher2440I've seen many low elo videos like these where there are LWs, and a lot of times they tend to pull someone to try and get them to help vs a tracer/sombra/etc... Because the game sense and mechanics of everyone in these low elo lobbies is horrendous... Not saying it's their fault because they're new/learning, but that's just the fact of the situation.
A good LW or team will manage to avoid pressure from the heroes I had mentioned earlier. Also the LWs team will be more aware of peeling for their LW.

Some people don't care about the penalty warning and leave the match the same way. So much so that the enemy team's dps decided to leave just because the enemy team had more time. 😢

These players should be banned from ranked for playing this way. They clearly are not bronze players and they’re ruining the experience of everyone in that match. On a different note, Sombra needs to be reworked again ASAP. I’ve never seen a more cancer moveset than permanent invis and turning off abilities…
The poor support! Moira would’ve been a great choice. She clobbers Sombra 1v1. And can outheal Balls damage. or worst case scenario, she can just fade past them and get back to the team it had to be incredibly frustrating and I’m probably not a better player than them, but that is that I would’ve chosen just to get out of the situation❤
this is true, but is Gemini going to know how to bounce a heal orb as a heal station fade back into spawn and resetup station, kill sombra and force ball out? No man, Gemini is obviously really new to the game (hope he stays, ow can be fun) Brig also would be good here as can short melee > shield b4 hack goes off and she got whip, but moira would be waaaaaaaaaay easier tho.
I was thinking the same thing. I know when i was first trying her i didn't understand her mechanics or timing for fades especially after being hacked, i bet they felt the same way.

Man I really feel bad for Gemini. Sure they won because of the "distraction" but it really is no fun to get spawn camped like that. Not to mention the chat also speculating those were smurfs holding the match hostage with how they switch to zarya immediately once the kiris team is about to win.
Also, just a thought that the kiri said they wanted to help the other supp but wanted to keep the team alive. There were moments like in attack where the team was stacked and fine, except for Gemini. Kiri didn't even glance their direction as they got dove by ball and sombra. And their spawn wasn't even far to tp to so yeah. Kiri could've probs helped them out at some points.

these are great points! helping our other support when possible is so important because we ALL know the chances of the rest of our team doing anything is not always super high. so we gotta help each other out lol
don't get me wrong, a lot of tanks and dps are out there protecting and supporting the hell out of supports. big shoutout to a Reinhardt who jumped into a mauga ult when I was the only one trapped to try to save me 😭 and big shoutout to every soldier 76 who throws down a heal pad to keep the team alive

It was a 4v3 basically the whole game because ball and sombra were spawn camping. They're probably smurfs so kiri peeling is probably just gonna get her killed. That support didn't have fun and that sucks, but they won that team the game tbh with their sacrifice

Pulling the Venture was probably a cry for help, trying to get Venture help him with Sombra and Hammond. Hammond has too much HP to kill and Sombra is just invisible and hacking so kinda lose a skill there. TBH I had several of those kind of games and 'team' blamed me for no healing and doing dps...that's bronze/silver/gold and plat thinking...
Same thing happed in 1 of my QP games stupid teammates told me I was the problem when the times I could actually heal them they blew up instantly
Glad I at least had a friend or 2 in the match to know my complaints only problem was they were moira so I couldn't use that to help my situation I guess I could have tried Kiri tho

So either in the last match geminikitten was playing with or against a two stack (the sombra and hammond) and they have beef, or those guys are straight up smurfs bullying people in Bronze. In either case, I'd have reported them if they were on my team.

this is quite literally 99.999999999% of my bronze matches... im the support that gets spawncamped sm to the point where i cant do anything bc no one's helping me.
also the lw pulled the venture for help... not that it worked bc they both died 😭😭
I wouldn't say it's majority of any bronze games I've had but definitely seen a couple where folks do this sort of thing. If on my team I often helped the bullies get killed or if against, I do my best to help the team get out of spawn in some fashion. It's worked a few times and the smurfs get pissed off. Sometimes they play worse, sometimes better. Either way reported for being toxic and completely unnecessary bullying.

I've had games like this. Where we win easily. But for some reason I have sombra, tracer farming me in spawn as support. I have like 15 deaths but we won. For some reason their only goal was to kill me. Makes no sense
As a bronze support it’s very difficult to rank up solo que because playing support kinda requires you to be on the same page as your team. But if you have teammates that just run and shoot you can’t really keep them alive 😅.

Gemini is like Stephen Curry in Overwatch. Getting doubled since he left home. He is real MVP.
I'm pretty sure this is the same duo (or at least a duo doing the exact same shenanigans with the same names + heros), but i was held HOSTAGE by them in a comp game for literally 56 minutes about 3 months ago. I had just started playing and genuinely felt like I couldn't leave because of fear of being suspended. I was on their team and they were spamming chat with inappropriate comments and spawn camping as much as possible. We went literally 6 rounds until they C9'd at the very end and i actually felt like crying lmao. That was my first experience with people smurfing like that and it turned me off from even trying in comp for a little bit. Looking back now as a semi less new player i've learned it's okay to just leave the game and report + block.
I feel so bad for that zen. I recently experienced the same thing and I still don’t know how I let it happen
In all my days playing qp and never playing comp, I have never seen a game that lost and chaotic. How that one guy got bullied and the enemy team just chose to lose in favor of bullying them is insane
I was so frustrated when you gave the advice to help out the team mate. Very glad you did a 180 on that. That's a classic strategic error (focusing extra effort on where the opponent is strongest) in any strategy game. The enemy were making a huge strategic error in committing 40% of their team to hamstring 20% of yours and the correct reaction to that is to ignore (or play around) their error and focus on the 4v3, where it really matters. If you help your team mate, you're turning your opponent's error into a good play. I learned this concept primarily through playing poker, but it's just a classic because it applies to basically everything.
BTW the LW pulled the Venture because he knew he was about to be attacked by Sombra (because it was happening every time he spawned in) and he wanted help. I'm not sure why this was confusing lol.
I think the ball and Sombra are smurfs and are just bullying bronze players. There was actually a top ten console player (on support) in my lobby but was playing Venture.
Edit: just checked and they're ranked 10th overall...
I had this happen to me at the beginning of the season, my friend got spawntrapped by a sombra hamster. They never pussed the Obj to the first point bc it was a 4v3 at the spawn door and we held it there the entire game. The next round all we had to do was push it 50 or so meters. I told my friend to just keep those 2 occupied while we won him the game, and thats what happened. It is forever a victory on his stat sheet
I remember playing a no limits push map where the entire enemy team was all Sombra, and I was their target Ana. On the one hand, I couldn't help but laugh, I'm not good in any way and was simply chosen at random. But also, since they were leaving the rest of my team alone, I made it my duty to look like I was trying to get past them while my team casually strolled with the bot to the end. Weird game, lots of laughs with my duo lol I'm just glad I was in the right headspace to just laugh it off
If you're being spawn camped, and you manage to kill 1, you teabag them relentlessly until another player kills you and you type ez in chat.
If you're getting 2v1 spawn camped by like this, there are a couple of strategies.
If available swap to a mobile support. Lucio or Moira. Hit the speed boost or fade and drag your attackers closer to your team or just out run them. Or engage them for as long as physically possible expending every resource you have. Because that's creating a 4v3 back where your team is having the teamfight. You're, in a way, creating space.
Another option, take it as a basketball full court press. You don't break a full court press by yourself, it takes teamwork.
Granted as you get higher, you get less of the 2v1 spawn camps and more 1v1 spawn camps.
The ball/sombra are Smurfs just memeing until the end and then just win.

I've had multiple Ball/Sombra duos hard target me. I feel confident in saying that Geminikitten will probably NEVER like Ball or Sombra ever again.
Ball and sombra are probably smurfing because no 2 people in bronze play dive characters together and coordinate that well in bronze 4.

In all fairness, it's very likely that Gemini's keyboard was ACTUALLY broken and that's why they were staying still so often.

There was one game I was playing in a high bronze/low silver lobby in ranked. I was duo with my friend who was dps and I was support. The other support and dps were spawn camped by the enemy wrecking ball and dps.
I did try to help the support get out of spawn at some point but they literally got hunted down and killed by the wrecking ball. Like, he ignored everyone else just to kill her and then returned to spawn camping her.
That game became a 3v5 before the first round even ended.
The sad part is the Ball & Sombra probably argue with their team about them having kills and the others not.
Nah, if anything they probably just shrugged it off since it lets them continue smurfing in bronze. They probably only made fun of the poor Soldier for not being able to hold off the enemy team just because these are the type of people who are cruel to anyone below gold.

AT LEAST this person is literally going in and fighting with their team still. Like actually Teleporting in and working with their team.
I wouldn’t even leave spawn at that point. This was done done to me and the other support by a Mei and sombra. Combined we had 60 deaths, I had 28 and they had 32. We both swapped to literally everything and every combo and nothing worked yet our team had the audacity to complain about heals yet not a single person helped us
Who would you play to give your team the most value as support when your other supprt DCs? For me i usually go baptiste or moira for those aoe heals, but not sure if im missing another option

Holding on Ult for too long is kind of a gray area for Venture (in my opinion). It's not the best ult out there, so things have to line up to use it properly. I try to make things line up on my own though by flanking to the enemy backline (though in this video, where the hell even is the "backline"????). They don't realize I got behind them and I just started blasting away at the healers.

Like always we ignore the smurf-camping-game-hostage-situation, so we do not have to adress that issue, that at least two player are not bronze player and doing enough to drag the game on while bulling real bronze player, and wasting the time of 8 other players with their awfull pathetic behaviour.
Most bronze bronze game ever. I fell from Gold after the rank reset, and it's impossible to climb because every single game is like this. Nothing I can do will prevent it, no role I play will help. Just chaos incarnate out here.

This sounded so much like a bronze match i was in a few days ago that i had to come check if it was my match. It is not, but spawn camping is no fun, especially when the campers pick only one support to focus.

It seemed to me this game was 2 Smurfs decided to pick 1 person and just make their game miserable for as long as they could until they got bored and decided to end the game

They'd actually try when they were on attack, but on defense theyd let them cap, feels like smurfs who are trying to ruin on players day and also hold the whole game hostage by making it as long as possible.
At least with the new wide group stuff, this can't happen to solo queue players anymore

My guess about the spawn camp is that maybe the Sombra and ball were friends of that support and messing with them, or they played against each other (or with each other) in a previous game and the support was being toxic.
What the hell is sombra, and wrecking balls deal with that life weaver.

Had one game like this in flash point while playing with friends in an alt acc(I play there my worst heroes) some time ago. I just said to my friend somethig like "take these deaths o7 while we win the game because of these trolls".

Honestly, I don't think the Kiriko did that poorly. They have a bit to work on, but they seem to have decent game and mechanical awareness (For a metal rank, mind you, but it's still good).
They might need to play with their EDPI a little, and just play more games tbh. If their aim was like 5% better, and they generally had slightly better positioning, I could honestly see them hit gold fairly quickly.
Edit: I mentioned adjusting their EDPI, because I didn't adjust it for a while, and they look exactly look how I was trying to aim then. Everything is basically moving super quickly, and my reaction time had to be out of this world to hit anything (I did not hit much lol. For context, I had about 16k EDPI at the time. Now I'm around 6k)
Edit 2: Gemini is also the MVP of this game. Taking away the Enemy Tank and DPS for 90% of the game is actually incredible, even if it might not feel like it at the time.
I'm not even sure the second support has ever touched an fps before even if hose two were probably smurfing in bronze.
I've had someone have a meltdown and type depressing stuff like he was gonna kill himself from us being spawn camped horribly. While it's probably not true and kinda funny it really should be addressed at least for low rank players
