The two things that I so greatly appreciate about Zen is the discipline and simplicity.

Well this should be better in B/W than in color. And I find from this our sunim is well good-looking and handsome. I didn't notice that up to now. Thanks for uploading this.

As an American struggling to get by, my dream is to be able to live in Prague this decade and be able to spend time with you. I will send out as much energy as possible to make this come true.

I remember very clearly Gautama Buddha's time 2600 years ago.
I was with him from the beginning until the end.
To teach Dharma, Buddha went mostly to the poorest people and also to the dangerous places without hesitation.
It was common that Buddha and his disciples didn't get food for days from people. People couldn't give them anything because they were so poor.
It was common that Buddha and his disciples slept on the cold ground, but they were not suffering, they were happy.
No Ego, No suffering! Buddha always slept with all the others in the same space. He never had his separate room. He always refused to sleep in the Temples. He said: "The whole suffering world is my Temple"!
If Gautama Buddha sees this world and sees what his disciples have done he would cry.
He would melt all golden Buddha Statues and would give them to poor people. He would sell all glorious Temples and give the money to the poor or he would give the Temples to them to live. For himself, he would choose a very humble housing to live in.
Why do Buddhist monks and nuns possess so many things?
Why do they live in the King's palace-like places?
Why are they fed so full while so many are hungry?
Monks and Nuns! Bhikkhu and Bhikkhuni!
Why does your body always NEED to sit in a higher position than other ordinary people? Why does your body NEED to always sit in front?
Why does your body always NEED full bow downs from ordinary people?
Is your own body more precious than all other people's bodies?
Is Buddha-nature ONLY in your own body????
Why do you only teach Dharma to the Buddhist people?
Why do you only go to places where people honor and worship you?
Why do you only go to places where people give you something?
Did you ever go places to teach Dharma where nobody worships you and doesn't give you anything?
Why are you so attached to your Buddhist robes? Buddha's clothes were only a piece of old dirty cloth that was used to cover the corpse. Without Buddhist robes would your buddha nature disappear?
    What are you afraid of???
Are you afraid, that without the Buddhist robes nobody recognizes and honors you, nobody bows to your body, and nobody would give you any food or money for free?
Can't you just show the buddha nature without the Buddhist robes, without living in the glorious Temples, without shaving your head?
    Stop teaching Buddha's teachings.
Stop using Buddha's teachings, stop using Enlightenment to make yourself higher than the other ordinary people!
Act and live as Buddha did!!!!! (평생 초발심 유지 하기)
People don't need empty words and powerless actions. People need the power and the strength of Buddha or Jesus.
    Compassion is not a word.
Compassion is beyond ZEN and religion.
Compassion is "Egoless Action without FEAR" !!!🙏🙏🙏

You are delusional. Read sutras and their commentaries. Learn about the importance of dana and merit of worshiping the triple gem. Buddhists do and have done things mentioned in your comment for whole of Buddhist history not because we are stupid and you are the first person in whole of buddhist history to figure "real buddhism" out, but because Buddha taught us to do so.

It is regretful to inform that my Master, who also was the enlightened Arahat, left Chogye Order. What a pity.
Anyway, I really love this video. I will share it with my friends as many as I can. ()

You own that place or have domestic authority over it? At least the nun in the background didn't seem to care...
