I watched this documentary last year during Thay's first death anniversary. It is a brilliantly brief account of his entire life and how he and his Plum Village and Order of Interbeing made a major impact on the millions of lives whom they touched. Just a while ago, I was at Woodlands Library and I found one of his major works titled "The Miracle of Mindfulness". I borrowed the book and am now reading it. What I like about Thay's teachings is that he skilfully integrates Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism into one language, so that mindfulness practice is just mindfulness practice, you don't divide the teaching into half and say that one is better than the other. I think Thay is ecumenism at its best, and I strongly recommend his books to anyone who is new to Buddhism and wishes to explore and window shop a bit to see if Buddhism is suitable for him/her.

I started this documentary with a smile and I end it with tears in my eyes and an even bigger smile on my face. Thank you to every person who worked to create this beautiful retelling of Thay's life. “We need to wake up...We need real enlightenment...” It feels like I’ve lived my life in a coma. I was a Navy Wave, working in the hospital, during the Vietnam War. Clearly, I remember the atrocities of blown-up bodies from the war. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 December 21, 2022, is the first time I heard, or remembered, about Thich Nhat Hanh. I listened to his recording, “Healing Is Possible at Every Moment.” I have not been the same since. Master Thay’s teachings cracked my heart. When I watch Thay speak, it feels like he’s speaking directly to my heart. Tears stream down my cheeks. Love, compassion, tenderness, and “inter-beingness” are my minute-by-minute goals. Thank You, Master Thay, for teaching this senior citizen to wake up now! Thank you, Plum Village for caring on Thich Nhat Hanh’s messages to our troubled world. Everyone needs his teachings.
Thich Nhat Hanh helped me heal the most through some of his books - I was one of at least millions of people. This documentary made me cry but I'm not sad because a cloud never dies :)

I originally watched this before I began practicing the plum village tradition. Serendipitously, a few months later I found myself at a plum village retreat through a Google search for nearby Buddhist centers. Today we honor the change he has made in the world and the love we all share.
Is it even possible to cry for someone whom I knew only through the internet? Is this what we called going essential? Beyond physical; right to the heart; subtle yet significant? Because he came to my "RUclips algorithm" just in time back then in 2018 when I finally had to accept the paradox that I had been trying to deny for the longest time. Everything is connected, that's why a cloud never dies.

I'm glad that thay's teachings are getting "viral". I feel that the Sangha is doing, and firmly believe that will do so much good to our society. Not only Mindfullness and the Dharma, but as I heard in one of the recent videos the focusing on the Sangha, out spiritual family, that takes care of us with loving speech and concentration. Dear Thay, every day I connect with you when reading your beautiful book, ‘Peace in Every Step’ and listening to some of your lectures and meditations online. I feel deeply inspired and comforted with your words and your voice. I have learned so much through you. The heart is cleansed and calms down by looking and listening to the Teacher♥️. It seems that he has become even closer now, the earthly distance has disappeared.🙏
The way I calm and cleanse my heart is by suffering the sufferings of others and to visit an orphan or a widow or to take a pound or two of rice and beans and some sugar and coffee and cooking oil to some families who do not have the means to feed themselves. So, if you want truly to cleanse and calm your heart, you need to make a trip to Dominican Republic where I have been living for the past 22 years or any other third world country instead of spending enormous amount of time trying to suggest to yourself that you find yourself in that State of mind. May the Lord bless you and keep you and may the Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious unto you and give you his peace.

With Master Thich Nhat Hanh, I have often felt Buddha Siddhartha Gautama came back again. The first book I read by Master was "Old Path,White Cloud:Walking in the footsteps of The Buddha". I got such a great understanding of Buddha!! Absolutely grateful!!

I came across this man and his teachings a few months ago. I was going through a lot and still am but his voice calms me everytime I listen to him talk… his teachings make me do alot of self reflection as to how I perceive myself and treat others. He is really helping me get through life. 2 weeks ago he came to me in a dream - and the message he gave me was so personal to an ongoing issue I have now - which is food and being obese. I was already working on this but just having him pop up in my dream really did something for me. Thank you thay - you will forever love on in me.

I watched this documentary last year during Thay's first death anniversary. It is a brilliantly brief account of his entire life and how he and his Plum Village and Order of Interbeing made a major impact on the millions of lives whom they touched.
Just a while ago, I was at Woodlands Library and I found one of his major works titled "The Miracle of Mindfulness". I borrowed the book and am now reading it. What I like about Thay's teachings is that he skilfully integrates Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism into one language, so that mindfulness practice is just mindfulness practice, you don't divide the teaching into half and say that one is better than the other. I think Thay is ecumenism at its best, and I strongly recommend his books to anyone who is new to Buddhism and wishes to explore and window shop a bit to see if Buddhism is suitable for him/her.

I cried for 3 weeks when he passed. I'm deeply touched by this gentle peace maker.
I originally watched this before I began practicing the plum village tradition. Serendipitously, a few months later I found myself at a plum village retreat through a Google search for nearby Buddhist centers. Today we honor the change he has made in the world and the love we all share.
Is it even possible to cry for someone whom I knew only through the internet? Is this what we called going essential? Beyond physical; right to the heart; subtle yet significant? Because he came to my "RUclips algorithm" just in time back then in 2018 when I finally had to accept the paradox that I had been trying to deny for the longest time. Everything is connected, that's why a cloud never dies.

The way I calm and cleanse my heart is by suffering the sufferings of others and to visit an orphan or a widow or to take a pound or two of rice and beans and some sugar and coffee and cooking oil to some families who do not have the means to feed themselves.
So, if you want truly to cleanse and calm your heart, you need to make a trip to Dominican Republic where I have been living for the past 22 years or any other third world country instead of spending enormous amount of time trying to suggest to yourself that you find yourself in that State of mind.

With Master Thich Nhat Hanh, I have often felt Buddha Siddhartha Gautama came back again. The first book I read by Master was "Old Path,White Cloud:Walking in the footsteps of The Buddha". I got such a great understanding of Buddha!! Absolutely grateful!!

Con rất buồn khi biết đến thầy quá trễ, lúc con nhận được những thông điệp của thầy cũng vỏng vẹn được vài tháng thì ngài đã ra đi. Một nỗi niềm khó tả trong con khi con xem được video này, con đã khóc khi xem nó, khóc rất nhiều rất nhiều là đăng khác. Thật buồn khi con không có đủ duyên để được gặp ngài, thấy ngài trực tiếp ở đời sống này. Nhưng qua những bải giảng con nhận ra rằng, thầy luôn có mặt trong con, trong từng bức chân con đi, từng hơi thở, từng cảm nhận của mình. Từ đó con luôn thấy được sự hiện diện của Bụt trong mình để tiếp tục chuyển hoa bản thân mỗi ngày. Làm mới đạo Bụt và đem pháp môn này lang rộng ra hơn nữa. Con nỗ lực tu học. Con sẽ nghiên cứu Toàn Diện Đạo Bụt và tiếp tục một lần nữa mang Đạo Bụt đến toàn nhân loại, để bảo vệ một mái nhà chung, để mọi người được sống thanh thản, tìm được chân lý đến bến giờ của giải thoát. I've been reading his book combined with some other buddhist literature, and he has actually made me cry. I am sure his actualy presence is just so strong. I am joining a sangha inpsired by his (and therefore the buddha's) teaching shortly.

A beautiful soul that cannot be put into words how much beauty and peace this master brought into earth. A true warrior of love and peace. After all the suffering during the war losing lots of friends and family in front of hes own eyes he did not give up. He endured and he conquered through the love in hes heart for peace. Again I can't find the words as tears stream down my face in awe at how amazing this man was and always will be. R.I.P to the beautiful master in the sky
These eyes are not me, I am not caught in these eyes. I am life without boundaries, I have never been born, I will never die. Look at me, smile to me, take my hand. We say goodbye now, but we’ll see each other right after now. And we’ll meet each other on every walk of life.

I came across this man and his teachings a few months ago. I was going through a lot and still am but his voice calms me everytime I listen to him talk… his teachings make me do alot of self reflection as to how I perceive myself and treat others. He is really helping me get through life. 2 weeks ago he came to me in a dream - and the message he gave me was so personal to an ongoing issue I have now - which is food and being obese. I was already working on this but just having him pop up in my dream really did something for me. Thank you thay - you will forever love on in me.
