Thanks for the video, I have been setting up my new store for 3 weeks now and am very close to going live however I'm stuck on one thing and all the videos out there are not informative on this specific question. I am in Canada and I want to sell to both the US and the Canadian market, the autoDS how to videos say to create a fake US address and set up your shipping rates from there including Canada but then the rates will be higher because im shipping cross border from the US to Canada so would it not just be right to ship from the Canadian warehouses to Canadians?? am I right or should I just leave it as is? or should I open another separate shipping zone for Canada?
Hey there Jason. There were several things you mentioned on this post so Ill try to explain as best as possible. First I would not recommend you faking an address as this can get you into serious legal trouble. To be sure I advise you to consult with your business attorney to see if this can get your business into hot waters. If youre in Canada and you want to sell both Domestically in Canada as well as internationally into the US, then understand these will be two different shipping rates as locally it would be cheaper versus shipping to the US. You need to understand first how much is AutoDS charging you the vendor to ship out to the US. If AutoDS is charging the same to ship to your client in the US as well as in Canada, then combining the shipping zone with the same price shouldnt be an issue. But first you must confirm this with AutoDS. But if AutoDS says the rates are higher when shipping to the US, then set two different zones and price them as per DS tells you to price them. None of these methods will help you save money. in the end AutoDS determines how much is shipping going to cost depending on where your customer is located. Hope this helps.
It depends which Shopify account you have if you’re in Canada. Not all Shopify accounts can be set up for outside Canada. For about a year and a half I was told the opposite by their customer service. Unable to launch eventually after the 2nd web designer finally reached a customer service person who found out the problem was I had to upgrade to a much higher plan. No pretending to be elsewhere. Very costly to not have the right info. Hope you get the right info you need.
hi, I"m trying to set up USPS as a 3rd party carrier account but I only have basic Shopify. Do I have to upgrade to plus or advanced? this is quite a bit more expensive. What are my options here?

Hey there. Make sure that the product has shipping enabled. meaning go to the admin, click products, find the product. Make sure shipping is enabled on the product. now test it. See if that worked.
You have to setup the delivery methods as explained on the video. Then you need to make sure your business is setup to ship to the destination address which youre testing.

Great video! Does Printify's shipping rates over ride Shopify shipping rates?
Printify shares with you its rates, so its best if you control that with the information obtained by Printify and set your manual shipping rates.

I’m trying to add flat rate with FedEx but it’s not showing up an option when I want to buy the label. Any advice?
Check in your settings if you have fedex enabled.
How do I fix this at the check out "This item will be removed from your cart because there are no delivery methods available for your address"
You have to setup the delivery methods as explained on the video. Then you need to make sure your business is setup to ship to the destination address which youre testing.
