- Muckross House is located on the Muckross Peninsula between Muckross lake and Lough Leane, two of the lakes of Killarney, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the town of Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland.
In 1932 it was presented by William Bowers Bourn and Arthur Rose Vincent to the Irish nation. It thus became the first National Park in Ireland,
Filmed on a GOPRP HERO 6 AND BOYA EXTERNAL MIC.
Lovely video, used to love visiting as a kid.
Thanks a million.👍😊
Thanks for sharing this amazing video
Thanks Muna 👍😊
I live in California and recently visited the Empire Mine State Park, and the same guy that owned the mine and cottage there, his daughter married a very prominent Irishman, and THIS was the house they lived in, in Ireland. And her father even paid him not to work, so he could be with his daughter 24/7. It's amazing how a small town in California has a connection to Ireland. Normally such a place wouldn't be on my bucketlist, but as a Californian, this is a place I now want to visit some day, as this is part of OUR history too.
That's an amazing story Brian. Thanks for that.👍😊🇮🇪🇺🇸
