  • After 7 weeks in the mail, my new Neo Geo MVS arcade board has finally arrived!! This will be getting 'consolized' in the new year for home use.
Gotta love the massive Neo Geo cartridges...!

@lakepalmer Sure! Han Solo bolting down the road on a Ton-Ton with a Neo Geo tucked under his arm is just about spot on.

@jorvack1 Hey thanks for the comment. So your board is the MV-1FS? If so, stereo is available on the Jamma edge. You can also tap it from underneath the 4 pin headphone connector on the left side of the board. You can control sound levels with the volume slider then as well. I'll be doing it that way. Video should be coming soon :)

@DrOrphious79 Thanks :) I'm getting there! Uploading a new video right now actually. It should be up shortly. Got a bit delayed with Xmas etc... Back on track now though. Cheers.

I'll be sure to keep track of these as I'd really like to pick of a neo geo board and make it into a CMVS. Having troubles finding any tutorials, care to share any ones your using ?

@Tw1tchNES Tutorials can be tricky to come across because there are a few different boards available. Also, people use different video encoders, power solutions etc... I basically just looked at some diagrams that show what pin on the Jamma connector does what and then wired accordingly with the diagram that came with my Neobitz encoder. The sound is taken directly from the headphone points, so pretty straight forward. I'll put up another video soon showing where I soldered everything :)

Hey man, this is just like mine - a "bare bones" MVS consolized but I'm yet to put a body on it. Its fine but the only gripe is it limited to Composite and S-video - a bit wank as I always use RGB BUT I have to say the S-Video looks great running on a CRT.. Anyway, hope you're enjoying that badboy, nothing like playing the real deal!
