When I saw this video picture I thought you were reviewing The Guns of August AH 1981. My 1st War game was AH WW1 Jutland. I love this game Navel Miniatures in a box. Did you ever play The Kaisers Pirates? or Landships? its basically WW1 ASL on a more simplfied system.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Jutland I believe was largest Deadnaught Battle Ever. The game I like as I said its a WW1 navel battle no Aircraft Carriers. Just a slug fest. It does have a search procedure. Later the revamped the AH Bismark game another fun game but the new version included the miniature rule from Jutland. The acutally kept the original rules so if you didn't have the space or wanted a faster game you could still play that way.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Check out The Kaisers Pirates GMT game. Look at the beautiful Cards. It can play multiplayer and comes with a set of cards solo play
I feel a second addition imminent, ,ps oh !!! no the Guns of August .. nice to c Rodger's work again ,! Looking likely that this would also kit bash into @and@ 1914 , + !!! ✍️👍
Wow, brings back memories! I hadn't heard the word "numbskull" since I was a very young kid. This is a true story: My grandfather used to call me a numbskull, but I didn't know why. And when he gave me a grinding noogie, I just smiled.

I'm afraid I haven't played any of them.
I had the exact same reaction! Had to go get my copy out of the closet to confirm how similar the cover art was.

A second edition with revised rules would be welcome.

Ha!
I loved it in the Rocky and Muggsy vs Bugs Bunny shorts.
I would like to know if this game is a good one player solitaire game. I see that it says it is a 1 to 2 player game.
I have not played the solo game, so I can't help you there.
unconvincing…..
You're right. It's fake facial hair.
