Kiri being born from Eywa was also what I was thinking during the film. Though my thoughts were actually more referring to what the Na’vi believe. They believe that all energy is borrowed, and one day, you have to give it back. That when one life ends, another begins. I think when Grace went through the ceremony with the Na’vi, and she was too weak to complete it, she essentially gave her borrowed energy back to Eywa, and in return, Eywa gave a life back, that being in the form of Kiri. She essentially did what Mo’at prayed for her to do: let Grace be reborn as one of The People. This would still make Eywa Kiri’s other parent, as well as hint at Grace’s own connection to the deity. Her abilities are fascinating though, I really hope they expand on that more in the future films.
100% agree. I believe that it was also Eywa’s gift to Grace.Also She could see in her memories. Eyea could see what happen on Earth and in turn chose to create another life to help protect her world that she is connected to. So she basically made a Jesus but she learned that from Grace. Born through the Force and birthed from his mother. I figured this was the way she was born because of her connection with the life in Pandora and how she can hear and see things other Na’vi can’t. That's the problem for me. Because it was a great concept few years ago. Once again, FEW YEARS AGO. Making Kiri a "chosen one" born out of the force, is just... old. It is so extremely transparent and obvious now that it became cringy. Literally most of the shows nowadays are forcing on us the idea of "super Jesus", which just makes the show the same as the rest of them, nothing special. And don't get me wrong, I still am okayish with the idea of the chosen one, but just think that it got overused enough, so it makes the entire purpose of this character actually shallow. If the Avatar 2 came out those few years ago, as planned, the impact would have been different. I am actually more interested into the plot of Spider and his relationship with his father, than Kiri aka Super Jesus. There is such a big potential for a villain here.

The creators really abused their audience when they introduced a newly related character of the audience into an arguably traumatic seizure, then passed it of as a human-like Epilepsy episode. How lame can you get while knowing that Eywa is a conscious neural network, and likely caused the seizure for getting too close? Seems a bit arbitrary to me.

Neytiri told Jake that Eywa "doesn't choose sides" but then we see the creatures of Pandora do intervene in the battle. I believe that Kiri is part of Eywa's answer to Jake's prayers and is the help that Pandora/the people need.

The people definitely were not United on reviving Grace into her Avatar form, and it was the children who saved her from being left at the home tree, not Mo’at.

An all-too-common outcome of ALL wars, are half-breed children, born not of any arranged ceremony, but of the unfortunate outcome of having MEN as Soldiers. Add to that, the element of revenge, a shared trait between the Navi & Humans, and the possibility of Humanity passing on it's _other_ concepts (besides lying), through the interaction of Navi and *anybody* with a perverse nature, (i.e, Necromany, the "love" of death [or a vegetative state]), or a scientist wondering "what if I..." Between these, is plenty of possibility that the donor is either an Avatar, or one of the Actual Navi people.
I would absolutely love to do that! That has been in the back of my head for many years. Honestly the main difficulty would just be getting the timeline figured out with all of the series. There's a lot to go through, but I love Stoick!

Kiri may be an Anakin-like character without the dark-side turn. She has a mother, but I agree that her other parent is probably Eywa herself, like how the Force created Anakin to bring balance; in this case, peace between Pandora and Earth (maybe).
I just watched this yesterday and I gotta say, despite the 13 year wait, it was pretty great. Although I personally feel like the sudden return of the RDA felt more like an excuse to have them come back. I do like the situation with Quaritch though. It seems like he could potentially become an ally at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Well Eywa is a goddess. There’s more than one deity that has been known to impregnate through the mind. God (of the monotheistic religions) is one. Another one is a fellow goddess Athena/Minerva (Greco-Roman Pantheon). They literally just think it and there target is impregnated with their spawn. In Eywa’s case, The trees of souls are her direct line to the physical plane of pandora (as we now see there’s more than one). Therefore, when Grace and Jake were connecting with the tree of souls, the tree was acting as a permanent avatar cubicle for them to be in their avatars. It stands to reason that in order for the tree to accomplish this, the soul in question must go through a similarly revealing, all encompassing ritual as the mating ritual, except the partner is Eywa. It could be that Eywa has more than one domain than simply creation and that she impregnated Grace to not only be an arbiter for change amongst her favored people, but to stop a great calamity that will soon engulf Pandora. I think it is Eywa. I say this because in the 1st Avatar, Grace gets shot in the stomach and that’s how she dies. It is very unlikely that a baby would survive that.
Can I just say something? I’ve been a huge avatar fan since it came out which has led me to hear endless bashing and making fun of a movie that I truly love. My theory is that Quaritch is the father, and that Grace and him had a secret relationship, and when Grace was dying of a bullet wound. She was also pregnant and wasn’t aware of it yet, so when they tried to transfers grace to her avatar body she was too weak and died before she could get through, but her unborn child was brought over into the avatar body.
Kiri is a rebirth of the consciousness of the Dr but since starting with a new brain the the whole brain has to redevelop from a single cell. So if the consciousness of the doctor the memories would be gone but core personality would remain.

I have wondered why she had a seizure at the Metkayina clan's spirit tree, but I do have a theory: if she is Eywa walking amongst the Na'vi, it would make sense that she wouldn't be able directly connect with any of the clans' trees.
Kiri may not have been a warrior, but she showed her ability to take care of business when she plugged into those mega anemonies to thwart the would-be villains. She's going to be a major part of the rest of the series. My bet is Kiri is not fathered by Eywa, but is a piece of Eywa herself. Explains the way nature responds to her, also explains her seizures. Eywa even a piece of Eywa is too big to fit into a Na'vi body for long. I bet they will get worse an she likely will die from it. I think that Kiri IS Eywa reincarnated sorta. Eywa is all things but had to put herself in a body form for something big to come. Its why she had a seizure. She cant connect with herself. What I find to be a solid theory is that eywah..ewah you know what I mean, could be the other link to Kiri's existence. It obviously known that she has a really weird connection to nature. Obviously she is a child engendered by Eywa because the planetary entity needed a closer communication with the Na’vi. The planet came close to being destroyed by the earth invaders and knew they were only temporarily pushed back, would return with more weapons and fighters. I think the title Avatar actually doesn't refer to the avatar units the humans created.... I think it actually refers to Kiri being Ewa's avatar. I am pretty sure Kiri IS Ewa.

Between these, is plenty of possibility that the donor is either an Avatar, or one of the Actual Navi people.

Kiri may be an Anakin-like character without the dark-side turn. She has a mother, but I agree that her other parent is probably Eywa herself, like how the Force created Anakin to bring balance; in this case, peace between Pandora and Earth (maybe).

I just watched this yesterday and I gotta say, despite the 13 year wait, it was pretty great. Although I personally feel like the sudden return of the RDA felt more like an excuse to have them come back. I do like the situation with Quaritch though. It seems like he could potentially become an ally at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well Eywa is a goddess. There’s more than one deity that has been known to impregnate through the mind. God (of the monotheistic religions) is one. Another one is a fellow goddess Athena/Minerva (Greco-Roman Pantheon). They literally just think it and there target is impregnated with their spawn.
In Eywa’s case, The trees of souls are her direct line to the physical plane of pandora (as we now see there’s more than one). Therefore, when Grace and Jake were connecting with the tree of souls, the tree was acting as a permanent avatar cubicle for them to be in their avatars. It stands to reason that in order for the tree to accomplish this, the soul in question must go through a similarly revealing, all encompassing ritual as the mating ritual, except the partner is Eywa. It could be that Eywa has more than one domain than simply creation and that she impregnated Grace to not only be an arbiter for change amongst her favored people, but to stop a great calamity that will soon engulf Pandora. A Calamity that will far outweigh the conflicts that came before, possibly even world ending.

The only issue may arise if the baby is facing the wrong way (breech) or any other birth complication.

I think it is Eywa. I say this because in the 1st Avatar, Grace gets shot in the stomach and that’s how she dies. It is very unlikely that a baby would survive that.

Can I just say something? I’ve been a huge avatar fan since it came out which has led me to hear endless bashing and making fun of a movie that I truly love. I can’t even watch any avatar theory videos from people cause they just end up mocking it and making fun of it. I know it’s not a perfect movie and James Cameron isn’t the perfect writer but I still love it. Now for my kiri father theory. Mo’at says to Jake before Grace dies that “the Great Mother may choose to save all that she is…in this body…” which to me really shows that Eywa just literally planted Kiri into Grace’s avatar right then and there.

My theory is that Quaritch is the father, and that Grace and him had a secret relationship, and when Grace was dying of a bullet wound. She was also pregnant and wasn’t aware of it yet, so when they tried to transfers grace to her avatar body she was too weak and died before she could get through, but her unborn child was brought over into the avatar body.

I never once wondered who her dad was, I figured she was just a miracle Eywa situation. People are reading way too far into this.
One possibility I haven’t seen posted… her father is Jake Sully’s brother… conceived using their Avatar host bodies. Possibly why there is a long gestation. Can’t wait to find out.
My feeling was that it was a divine conception, Eywa tried to put life into Grace's avatar body, and succeed, just not in the way everyone was expecting.

I feel Eywa impregnating Grace's avatar and making Kiri makes sense. Kiri does have a very deep connection with the flora and fauna of Pandora. I have wondered why she had a seizure at the Metkayina clan's spirit tree, but I do have a theory: if she is Eywa walking amongst the Na'vi, it would make sense that she wouldn't be able directly connect with any of the clans' trees.
Kiri may not have been a warrior, but she showed her ability to take care of business when she plugged into those mega anemonies to thwart the would-be villains. She's going to be a major part of the rest of the series. Really sucked that they didn't show Jake's vision quest in the first movie, as it adds so much to his character as a Navi and the story as a whole vs suddenly he's just accepted.
And it would explain Kiris deep connection to Eywa and her special abilities, i mean ... the fishes that swim around her and how she could direct them and stuff
My bet is Kiri is not fathered by Eywa, but is a piece of Eywa herself. Explains the way nature responds to her, also explains her seizures. Eywa even a piece of Eywa is too big to fit into a Na'vi body for long. I bet they will get worse an she likely will die from it. Eyway herself put a herself into a Na'vi body to experience what a mortal goes through, being that she chose a Avatar over a classic Na'vi says to me she is doing 1st hand research into humans as well.

I do think Kiri is like a clone of some sort of Grace, like when some animals and plants on Earth are able to reproduce asexually, but in this case it was only made possible because of Eywa I believe, but also because Kiri holds traits of Eywa herself, being able to communicate with all the animals and able to adapt to her surroundings quickly, I think Kiri was made up of Grace physically, but made up of Eywa consciously.

I have two theories about Avatar 2, the first is that Kiri's biological father is Norman Spellman and the second is that Grace Augustine will wake up human with blue stripes all over her body after the comma in the band with her DNA and carbon fiber .

I think that Kiri IS Eywa reincarnated sorta. Eywa is all things but had to put herself in a body form for something big to come. Its why she had a seizure. She cant connect with herself. Her body form just has no recollections of who she really is yet. She is a goddess. What I find to be a solid theory is that eywah..ewah you know what I mean, could be the other link to Kiri's existence. It obviously known that she has a really weird connection to nature. From breathing with the ground to being able to adjust to her new water home like it was nothing.
But why is she a complete avatar? Looking back on avatar 1, it makes sense that the seeds of life could definitely come from the tree of life. Basically, it's giving us a sort of "mary" case where she ends up pregnant from essentially god..duh
But if you're using Grace's avatar from the first film, wouldn't kiri have five fingers? Grace was an avatar driver, not an avatar, and never even connected to ewyah until they tried to put her in the avatar body.

Obviously she is a child engendered by Eywa because the planetary entity needed a closer communication with the Na’vi. The planet came close to being destroyed by the earth invaders and knew they were only temporarily pushed back, would return with more weapons and fighters. Survival requires Eywa be more actively and directly involved than before the war.
I think the title Avatar actually doesn't refer to the avatar units the humans created.... I think it actually refers to Kiri being Ewa's avatar. I am pretty sure Kiri IS Ewa.
Because Grace passed away via Eywa I think Eywa gave Grace life through Kiri. Kiri is essentially Grace’s “forever body” like what Eywa did for Jake Sully.

But I think Kiri may be the reincarnation of Grace,
