Design Edge Learning Series 003 - Select Tool

A look at the Select Window tool in Design Edge for Plasmacam machines. This is a powerful took and specifically today I looked at how to resume cutting when an error or other problem stops cutting AND you accidentally clear the remaining cut path selection.

When you have a drawing linked, How do you get the whole middle or the inside to be colored in and or solid?

Trevor, assuming it is truly joined and there are no gaps or intersections then it will turn purple (when not selected). The shading comes from a setting on the design tab. It requires advanced design so if you have that then you can just tick the box for “fill solid closed paths” on the top left of that setting screen.

I have been having trouble with my cutter going over lines several times. Is this an issue of having multiple paths on one line? I have been working to figure this out but I’m still not sure.
