JB I love watching your videos seeing you do tricks gives me the courage to man up and try it myself, keep making great videos!!! Btw I really LOVE that union board! Thinking of getting one myself
I worked at the 2-tower yesterday my HS BS 180 blind off the kicker. I have a solid HS BS 360 and SW HS BS 360. I think my next trick will be a HS BS 540 blind. It looks absolutely one of the best spins to me! And the « feeling » of the HS BS 360 is one of my favorite, so landing a 180 blind more after that? Oh my.
I launched a couple of them lately at the 5-tower park. I either land and catch my back edge, or land correctly but “collapse” on the blind and I can’t hold it. It feels like a washing machine though, super fun feeling!
Four months later, I still can’t land that trick. I tried different techniques, like delaying the handle pass (it makes it easier to rotate and it looks more legit), but I still have the same collapse thing on the blind. The frustrating part is that I can perfectly do a SW TS 360 blind, and I have all the front 540 (the four of them). The frustration that the 4 back 540 are the last remaining things before going on with 7… It looks so easy when you do it but when I throw it it’s everything but easy… :(
Great tutorial! Super clear running through this. You should partner with your local park and be an instructor! I am sure kids parents would fork over those dineros for some instructor time.
Thx a lot JB, your tutorials improved my riding in so many ways ! I noticed your handle pass is different when comparing your frontside and backside 360/540. Frontside = "vertical pass" Backside = "horizontal/classic pass". Is there any reason or is it just instictive ?
yeah I have been like that since I was a kid, i noticed it on the trampoline years ago. It kind of automatically happens. I do know that i drop the handle less when i pass palm to palm
Thanks for the tutorials JB. What is the easiest way to learn hoe to "back lip?" For some weird reason i cannot get my back leg to straighten fully...I ride left foot forward by the way. Thanks
@@jboneill Just thought of another video tutorial I'd love to see. Need some help with transferring between features. Specifically how to go about an inside out transfer vs an outside in. I have the inside out down, but the outside in doesn't make sense to me.
One year later, I’m still trying to land them. I tried everything, every possible technique. Little to no edge, medium to hard edge, popping really hard, absorbing the kicker, BS 180 + SW TS 360, BS 3 + BS 180, landing blind looking behind me, looking to the shore, looking in front of me, I tried with the handle at my hip during the edge. Every possible thing. And I still can’t land it. After 11 months of trying, and I’m a try harder so I haven’t tried like 20 times. I have tried 2000 times. I’ve asked many people, operators, coaches, riders, to have a look at what I do and what I do wrong. And yet no one (myself included) has identified exactly what I’m missing, because the rotation is good, I land blind, yet I still fall on my back because I have too much tension in the rope, and I can’t figure out how to deal with it. I initially thought it was due to pulling to hard on the handle while on the kicker (it creates slack, which is then compensated by a hard acceleration during the descend, which makes it too hard to stay in the blind position). Anyway, huge respects for people able to land that fucking trick. I just can’t and I’m probably going to give up after almost one year of trying (and I have perfect BS 180 blind, BS 3 and SW TS 3 blind…)
Your problem sounds like confidence dawg! Know you’re gonna land it before you even hit the kicker! Also send me a video on IG! If you have already sent a video just send another one, I could have missed it
Dude. These are so helpful! People literally pay to get this type of advice! Thanks a lot man

Alright, I’ll try the palm to palm method next time !
Btw, I had a good laugh with your last vid, a subtle mix between woodworking and wakeboarding 😂
Thanks for the tutorials JB. What is the easiest way to learn hoe to "back lip?" For some weird reason i cannot get my back leg to straighten fully...I ride left foot forward by the way. Thanks
Ryan Bevil if you are left foot forward make sure the handle is on the left side of your body to help get your back foot around
Nice one 👌 Maybe a backlip edition once ? 🤙
yes for sure!
I keep staring at that BIG WALL .. AND its HUGE RAMP!!... I wonder if JB tested it?
AdamLook 7 definitely got tested hahah
Hey JB, are you going to have a backside 180 kicker tutorial?
TheLoungeSBS I have a how to land blind which is very similar
@@jboneill Thanks. Just watched it. The patience part seems to be where I need to focus. Thanks for all these tutorials. Love the consistent format!
TheLoungeSBS thanks for watching bro, gonna try and keep them coming!!
